[New Player] Looking for guidance

Hello everyone.

First, i had quite a long history with Granado Espada and dev kinda ruined it, it was sad then came ToS. I really didn’t bother with this game back then tho i know some dev from GE are working here. Part of it was from the fear of trying new game and learn everything from zero. Well kill me, here i am, hooked up after decided to give ToS a try…

I have few questions and really need some helps, cuz the more i do research the more i get lost and confusing.

  1. I’m a casual, solo player so which class would you recommend for a starter ?. I do like summoner like Sorc/Necro but i’ve read somewhere the guide said Summoner class should not be my first due to Market Restriction or something and costly. I also got eyes on Cleric, Swordman.

  2. So basically to reset skill points i need real $ ?. It said i can get one for free during questing so i’m kinda freaking out, one wrong move might screws me up big time.

  3. Which server is the most populated right now or they are all equal ?. I know i should pick server according to my region but i just want to play in crowned one.

Thank your for your time.

  1. Summoner build is fine, just pick Necro first since you can spam skeletons easily, or Bokor if you want to go for the full summoning build. Pick Sorcerer last.

  2. You have skill planners/simulators to help you make your build. Don’t go blindly. If you want to reset skills, you can use a skill reset potion (sometimes you get one from events, no need to buy one) or simply wait until you have collected 2000 class points and switch class back and forth. If you make a mistake at low level, the best is probably to restart your character since it’s now trivial to level up.

  1. For solo player I would recommend Scout as a starter. BM-Enchant-Linker is a good starter. Also one of the most favourite farmer class is Scout. Cleric-Priest is not a bad choice but it leans more toward playing with other people most of the time.

  2. Skill reset is not really necessary if you follow the meta build. But yes there is several you can get free, from quest and exploring places (Adventure Journal). The quickest way of course is buying the stuff with real money. The other way to reset skill is by changing your class and go back to the current one. Class change point can be gained from various method, basically by playing the game. Of course, again, it can be gained using real money

  3. Play on the server closest to your region because the game relies quite lot on ping, and playing outside your region might makes it not enjoyable.

Thank you two very much. Saved me a lot of time doing researches. So i guess i’m not gonna worry much about skill points, what a relieve. I shall look into Scout soon, cause you guys sparked the gunslinger urge in me :ok_hand: .
