New Player, i have some question

hello, im download this game now, but i have some questions
which server is better and why? (i am from portugal (eu)) and which class is better to start?

The type of class depends if you’re a hardcore player or not. So if you’re a newbie player, go for Swordsman but if your hardcore, go for Archer. Just look at the difficulty when you select the class.

I recomend searching on forum and skill simulators to find the class that best suit your play-style

Just to give you a bit of direction, since it can be overwhelming.

  1. Play on the EU server as has been suggested for the least amount of lag.

  2. Look at the class archetypes (tosbase.com is a good site).

  3. Play around with the skill sim on that site to see what skills interest you.

  4. Pick either physical or magical for your damage type. STR -> Physical damage, with the exception of mage classes (even the mage auto attack is based off of int) this will be your main attack stat. INT - > magical attacks, every class except for mage seems to have both. I could be wrong on the mage tree though, o_Oa maybe.

Pick secondary stats (con/spr/dex).

Example:
If you want to build a cleric that can deal damage while taking hits -> Str and Con will be your main stats.

If you want to build an evade tank, Dex and str will be your main stats with maybe a wee bit of con thrown in for the occasional hit.

  • Take your time, leveling early on is pretty easy. This game rewards completion of maps/monster kills ect as well as doing quests. So if you like to grind you can grind, if you like to quest–just quest. I suggest a mix of the both.
