Hello all, i’m planing into begin this game, but there is so much option, i’m lost.
Could someone suggest me a class and a build, that is not to costly to play, is good for solo pve and useful for group pve content and does not require expanding to much gold in itens like mana potions and stuff?(never enjoy much the use of consumables) well if possible of course.
Appreciate.
If you like healers I’d suggest a Cleric C2 > Priest C3 > Chaplain > Plague Doctor C2 with all your status points invested into SPR, this class can solo pretty much anything while also providing top notch support in parties.
Also doesn’t really waste money on potions because you can heal yourself and since you’re full SPR your SP pool is pretty high so it’s very unlikely you’ll ever waste all your SP (unless you get your SP drained by a mob’s ability, but that’s very situational and can be avoided using the skill Bloodletting from Plague Doctor, atleast in my experience).
The downsides to this path is that your buffs lasts between 1 minute to 5 minutes so you’ve to constantly recast them and they also need catalyst items for some of them so you can use them (though the item costs between 20 silver and 30 silver which is really affortdable even for new players), though most buffs are situational so you’re not really going to need to cast all of them all the time, also this is a heavy auto attack reliant build so you’re going to smack mobs all your way until lvl 270+ish when you get access to Black Death Steam and it becomes a little bit better for aoe.
Also this build isn’t heavy dependant on gear, sure it does help to get good gear but even without gear it performs really well because of Blessing and it’s scaling with your SPR stat that adds a fixed amount of dmg (which cannot be lowered by any means such as defs and stuff) to all of your basic attacks and skills (multihit skills benefit a lot from this), remember to grab the blessing attribute that increases the dmg bonus from it by 50% at max rank, it’s only 50k silver which should be easy to come by.
This is the skill setup I use for mine which is also my main, the point in Beak Mask is optional and not needed at all (unless you plan to PvP where it’s actually useful), I just got it because aesthetics and because why would I play a Plague Doctor without having the mask, it felt wrong
This is the only build I could think of that could fit your needs since it’s good for both solo and party play, not that expensive to get going early on, only gets expensive when you start to work in end-game gear (which regardless of class, it’s always going to be expensive anyway) and it doesn’t really require either HP or SP potions (though I still suggest to carry some SP potions around just in case you get your SP drained and you didn’t notice it).
The main thing I guess it would be the constant rebuffing but if you can get used to it or you don’t care about it this build is perfect for you, if you like being a healer with the ability to solo that is (though this build can be pretty nice on the DPS department too).
Tnk u very much, one question about this build, why do invest in Aspergillum if you only get one point in Aspersion? adn Last Rites without sacrament, isn’t it wasting an class choice?
More lvls into Aspergillum increases it’s duration so at lvl 5 + Divine Might it would last 60 secs, the same duration of Blessing, and I dumped all my points into Last Rites since I find Capella to be somewhat useless, even more since I don’t take Stone Skin because of the nerfs to it, and it was the main reason to pick Capella to keep it up 100% of the time.
Also keep in mind Chaplain is what allows you to solo efficiently because it provides you with dmg, which you’re gonna lack somewhat until R8 when you get Black Death Steam which is when it gets a little bit better.
What i meant is if aspergilium and last rites, without spending points on aspersion and sacrament to improve it, wound’t be a waste. if i got it right from reading the description, the power of this two skills are affected by the lvl of the other two.
For example, Last rites says, increase holy damage in proportion to players cast sacrament.
Yes, in fact it does increase, but you’ve to take into consideration that to make it have max scaling you’d need lvl 15 Aspersion, lvl 10 Sacrament and lvl 15 Blessing because that’s your main buff, that’s 40 points leaving you with only 5 which would hinder your performance by a lot in groups.
Now since you’re an SPR build is not recommended to max Aspersion, only 1 point into it is enough to take advantage of Aspergillum which adds another like of attacks to your auto attacks, which means another proc of your Blessing which is where your dmg comes from basically.
Also the DMG gained from lvling Sacrament it’s extremely low, not worth putting more than 1 point into it because of it.
I see, so this two are there to give one more proc of blessing, did not realize that could be the reason, tnk you.
May i know why you level cure so much?
In old guide i always see ppl leveling safety zone and stone skin, well stone you already said that was nerf, was safety as well?
It’s all preference really, but it’s for the same reason, higher lvl Cure gives it more hits so you can proc more blessings with it when casted on top of a boss/mob so overall it’s to deal more dmg, also Safety Zone has an attribute which increases the amount of blocks it can have and that allows me to not need to max it.
