Okay, so i understand that you can advance classes and such and i’m pretty sure skills and attributes carry over so i kind of get that. What i could use help understanding is the way class progression takes place because i see a lot of priest 2, 3 or whatever class. I wanted to go, Priest, Bokor, Sadhu, Monk. Or how does the class system actually work? Thanks in advance for helping the noob.
You have two sets of level exp.
Character experience, and Class experience.
Everytime your class exp reaches level 15, you get to choose another class or circle (you have 3 circles available per class, for example you have Cleric circle 1, circle 2, circle 3).
And currently there are 7 ranks available. No matter what, for your first rank you will be a Cleric. We all start as a Cleric.
And then for every rank you get some new classes added (while the previous ones are still available).
2nd rank you can continue as a Cleric, and have Priest and Krivis added. 3rd you can continue as Cleric/Priest/Krivis and have Bokor and Dievdirby added, etc…
A good way to decide which classes and circles you’ll go is to use TOSfanbase’ skill simulator: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/
It gives a detailed description of the skills, the attributes, and it shows which classes are available at which rank.
But you also have to take into account the stats of the classes. Monks deal damages based on PATK, so you’ll have to go STR. But the other classes you like use INT and/or SPR.
Of course you can put points in 3 different stats (more like 4, with CON too), but it’ll make you less effective in the long run.
Okay thanks for the Clarification! So in my case, there being 7 max ranks. I’m assuming i would like to save rank 5, 6, and 7 for my Monk 1, 2 and 3 circles right?
If you want mainly to be a Monk, save the last 3 ranks for it, yup =)
