Just let it finish; I finished mines and then re-launched it, and it didnāt start up again.
Shouldnāt attempt bypassing the patch anyway, since itās safe to assume that whatever is in it (Whether big or small), is necessary.
@nathancarter_821
when it started to delete the original files? After the launcher patch or steam patch?
@karazou1
havenāt finished downloading the same 272mb lol much worse to me⦠dont ask why hahaha
i am sorry but you are wrong with this, the countries who belongs to the definition of international on Tree of Savior has an average conenction of 32mbit/s.
Kind regards
Gardosen
Clearly, Germany isnāt part of the definition of āinternationalā then, considering there is a proposal to reach 16MBit by 2020.
lol too scared to even download that
but im going to risk it
we still have 10 hours left anyways
and i doubt my computer will be able to download it in time
anyways i backed the old ToS folder without the patch just in case
after ToS patch the 200+mb one.
seems you gonna finish first tell me what happen k?
ill be done re-downloading the entire game in about 3 hours or so my internet can sometimes speed up⦠i will report back in 3 hours if it worked or not.
I see⦠but mine is updating through steam, I guess I skip that part so I only need to download 270mb.
Umm, I feel bad for you guys. It only took me 3mins to patch.
no mines downloading through steam its 4.4gb even though it allready has the entire folder⦠it just deletes and starts from scratch⦠only after i patched the ToS patcher.
To anyone who doesnāt want to re-download the whole 3.8Gb thing: if the difference between the versions isnāt too big, I could probably upload the files that differ somewhere. To find out which ones differ, get this or any other recursive md5 file checker, create the md5 file of your TreeOfSavior folder and link me the file so I can compare with mine. The link above is an explorer extension so you just install that, right click on a folder and select ācreate checksum fileā.
Dude it worked
patched it but it didnāt download the whole thing
just downloaded like 25+ more mb when the patched opened
and i can play the game just fine
phew that was close, maybe what happened to @nathancarter_821 he clicked the PLAY button the same time they updated the files to be downloaded through steam then there goes the conflict. Try Soukyuu suggestion first maybe nathan?
Oh god if the beta gets delayed because of this⦠D:
Just looking at the new files, the user.xml seems gone. Would be hilarious if thatās the only thing that changed⦠This definitely could have been handled differently, but oh well, itās a beta anyway.
Iām actually questioning the use of a separate launcher, canāt they just use steamās update delivery for the steam version?Because the current setup seems prone to version conflicts as @Calvin pointed out.
nevermind i made the file let me upload.
Install, open explorer and go to your SteamApps\common folder (probably C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps), then right-click on TreeOfSavior folder and choose ācreate checksum fileā.
There will be a popup to save it, just accept. It will then create an ~49kb file called TreeOfSavior.md5 <- Iāll need this one.
let me link youā¦one sec
darn i get
Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extension: jpg, jpeg, png, gif).
