New patch conflicting with Oculus Rift Service

Bug Description :
New 8/8/2017 patch is conflicting with Oculus Rift Service. Inputs become unresponsive.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Computer which has Oculus Rift Software installed
  2. Launch ToS after 8/8/2017 maintenance update
  3. Can’t input any keyboard command. Inputs seems to be ‘redirected to some other software’.

Don’t it have a CP that you can set it to ignore certain games? It should I think, if not the people behind this thing is pretty dumb to not put that option.

Not all the games will work with it installed (no surprise ToS be incompatible with something lol).

I remember a game I have that had lots of issues with Steam Overlay and I had to disable it to work properly.

Sadly it doesn’t, which lead to users having to create a batch file to manually stop the service. Usually it doesn’t conflict with ToS or anything, since I already had the Oculus software installed for weeks while still able to play ToS normally.

It just happens that the current ToS patch isn’t really compatible with Oculus service.

P.S Maybe IMC is hinting that a ToS VR version is in the works? = =+

It’s a shame they didn’t, well as you said, probably something in one of the files that where patched.
