New GvG time and restrictions

Earlier this morning I was reading the 8/28 patch notes and I was a little shocked to find out that they were slashing all of the GvG times except for one. I am not opposed to this, I think it has its’ pros and cons. What I was upset to see was the following:

Guild Battles
[NA] Klaipeda & Orsha : 21:00 (EDT)

21:00 EDT for one hour seems like an extremely small window. Also, it is hard for those on the west coast who are usually getting off of work at this time. In my opinion, this is not even the most popular GvG time.

I am hoping IMC reconsiders the time. Or at least to extend it from one hour to two hours. I will not longer be able to participate nearly as much because of the new restrictions.

Very sad about this news. GvG was one of the few things I enjoyed.

yeaa, having 1 time makes it hard.
Many guilds on Klepedia were playing on the 12 am server time…
I hope they add back that time and keep this one too

Will confirm, pretty sure 12AM was the most active gvg time. Honestly, a single hour for gvg means that there will be at most 3-4 fights a day. Why not just keep both time slots?

I wonder if imc noticed nobody’s queuing up and thought it was because times were spread out instead of realizing it’s because the system suffers from fatal design flaws and bugs which drove most people to either quit or do one game a week to cheese the free TP.

They could’ve made the second hour rotate through different times, but nope, they made it even more inaccessible. On the other hand, if they remove the last time slot and prevent us from doing gvg entirely, we won’t have to worry about the bugs ruining the rankings anymore.

It is a step in the wrong direction rather than the right direction I think they should as you said at least extend it 2 hours or start it a few hours later so everyone that wants to join in can.

imc didn’t applied a patch with new time.
also i start to suspect that servers are not designed to have many gvg at once.
