New control for the gamepad

Hello, Developers can add to the game the 2nd button layout mode for the gamepad, for example as a picture? or at least addon like this?

Errrrr not sure what kind of controller you’re using, but most people use xbox / ps3 ~ 4 controllers, and these don’t have 6 buttons. . . so i really doubt they’d change that ?

Controller for a home computer, and 6 buttons are not such a rare controller …

L1 + R2 and L2 + R1 are not used yet and would give us two additional spell sections (eight slots in total). People have been asking for it for a long time, but no response from IMC …

While my Controller has no 6 buttons on the right, it has 2 additional buttons in the middle that could be utilized this way.

However, I don’t really see a point in having more buttons per side, it just makes the game more confusing and only adds more slots for DPS characters while support/utility Classes usually have higher CD times, so they work just fine with switching to the second set for buffs/debuffs with higher CD times/lasting times.

Also, it limits you a little so you have to think about which skills are more important and useful, you’re not supposed to have 200 skills which you can’t even all use till the others are already off CD.
Better to have less skills at higher levels so they all fit onto the skill bar.

It’s not because support classes don’t need it that DPS classes must be deprived of it. If you don’t need it, don’t use it.

And why should we be limited to 20 shortcuts at the same time ? Mouse/keyboard players have access to 4 shortcut bars, for a total of 40 slots at the same time. The joypad players have to switch constantly with L2 + R2 to have the same number, which is much more confusing.

Obviously, the controller limits the possibilities, but as long as there is still room for quick shortcuts, they should be used.

This is because keyboard is standardized, controller with 6 buttons is not.
Imagine people who don’t have 6 buttons having the disadvantage of having access to less skill slots.

Also, more room for possible bugs created by the sloppy programming.
I e.g. always have the button placement reversed (speaking of Playstation controller layout, imagine pressing triangle but triggering the quickslot set for square button and vice versa, same with circle and cross buttons) and I already tried with 3 different controllers,
all have the same issues with the game, and I have no issues with any other controller based game like this.

Now imagine we get these changes and you have to press a button that doesn’t exist on your controller to trigger the effect. And imagine it doesn’t get reversed. You’ll be robbed of 2 skillslots respectively.

It would be better if such gimmicks for people with special keyboards/moiuses/joysticks/gamepads could be solved with add-ons, maybe IMC could release some add-ons on their own so we don’t recieve an even more broken game in the process?

I’m not speaking about the 6 buttons.

I’m speaking about what i said before : the use of L1+R2 and L2+R1 for two additional shortcuts sections. Eight slots in total, same result of the 6 buttons idea, but possible with standard controller models.
