Never played this game - which build should I go with?

I looked up some info and got a brief idea what I would play for open beta. I want to play a support character that’s also able to deal some occasional damage. It’s also viable for both PVP and PVE.

They are both able to support a party. The chaplain build relies on melee attack with aspergillum while the druid mostly deals damage via spells and carnivory. Which build do you think is better?

if you like Auto ATK and rebuff every time…And be relevant to pvp go plague doctor build.

But the first build i don´t agree at all…If you want to go a hibrid dps/support build…Go the path Krivis~Sadhu~druid

so weird, your first build only show druid as last on the image, but it’s actually a plague doctor as last rank

I too will be Cleric for the first time on iobt and have a similar build

some say druid and sadhu don’t have great synergy together.

I’m reluctant to go melee in PVP. I’m just picturing things in my head based on my 10 years of competitive PVP experience, but I doubt I’ll have the opportunity to hit anyone with auto attacks. Chaplain really doesn’t have anything else to offer, so it seems like a pure PVE class to me. Druid on the other hand has a CC, an invulnerability skill C2(when R8 opens and if new classes are garbage).

But since everyone is so obsessed with chaplain and I know nothing about this game, I might jump on the bandwagon for the cookie cutter.

Who said that Druid and Sadhu doesn’t have a great synergy together is lying. They work great.

you will not deal damage in the pvp…you will only be a support using the priest~chaplain~plague build. And don´t jump in the same wagon of other people…For me for example up using this build is HELL! AutoATK all day and having to buff every time is boring =.="
the krivis/sad/druid…have amazing dps and because the build use a LOT of int…You will have a monster heal too…

Wouldn’t it be better to just go wizard if you dont want to play supportively?

There’s a good reason chaplain build is “canon” build.

i said in the first post that I wanted a support character with ability to deal damage

lol your mistaken if you think wizards aren’t amazing support xD

Its almost criminal to go to a dungeon without chronomancers.

but cleric support seems more viable than wiz support for pvp, even tho both are equally viable for pve

That’s a little subjective. Wizards have classes like linker/chronomancer/Cryomancer/PsychoKino
Linker for its linking ability where single target dps becomes aoe
chronomancer for less cd on skills and attk spd buffs
cryomancers for their vacuum and amazing cc
Psychokino for their cc and dps

Any cleric is exactly like what it sounds, a rev and heal slave with situational powah!

Cleric has its safety wall and divine might
Priest has STONE SKIN
Krivis for its zaibas harassment (use it over dead enemies in pvp so they cant get revived)
Dievdirbys for its amazing zoning talents and buffs/debuffs

@ShyBoo
Yo it doesn’t matter how supportive you think Wizards are this person wants to play a cleric. Help them with the cleric build or don’t geeze.

For your first build Carnivory is really hard to cast for pvp but it’s good for damage in pve, however Telepath can be pretty good in pvp. If you want to do damage at least 1pt into Incineration might be a good idea. I have a tendency to favor Revive and Res over Sacrament in pvp situations, so if you want maybe move some points around.

On the second build this is pretty much the go to support build that people play in ktos. I think it’s much more supportive and way less dps in pvp situations but I’m not so sure you want to leave your mass heal at level 4. Maybe sacrifice some points from Aspersion or Sacrament as well as remove Monstrance. You can get the Monstrance buff from Deploy Capella.

What debuffs do I have for incineration if I’m going with chaplain? I don’t see any debuffs in this build.

edit: wait, does its duration depend on buffs on my character or debuffs on the target?

You’ll probably get debuffs on enemies when playing in a party. For pvp even if you only do arena that’s still at least one other person with 2v2. I’m not 100% on this but Chortasmata might cause a debuff. I forget if making the monsters into plant types is considered a debuff. Monstrance is a debuff that’ll work for you at least in pve. I think it’s only a buff with Deploy Capella though.

I agree it was off topic, but it doesn’t justify you having to call me out. Sorry but your the bad guy here.
