I swear I wanted to understand the nerf in the Guardian skill, but I give up …

Swordsman is absurdly low DPS and Peltast is the lowest DPS of all swordsman tree … FOR GOD SAKE !!! IMC What is the point of penalizing the damage of skills of Peltast ???

Any class in this game has EXACTLY the same capacity for tanking
Ok I lied, clerics are astronomically better for tanking.
So why swordsman must have a DPS so crap? since it is far from being considered a good tank…

Hey IMC such give swordsmen one EXCLUSIVE archiving to come to lv280? … “ADAMANTIUM BALLS”. Because while other classes can even solar to 280, the “SwashBucklingman” without Swash Buckling is ■■■■■■ …
It is sad to see the “Class Warrior” be reduced to a single skill.

IMC how many times must be repeated that the SWORDMAN IS BROKEN? need be FIXED. However you still nerf a skill that it was bad and so was used only because of passive …!!! :expressionless: "! !!!
If you wanted swordsman did not use Guardian was so remove it.

PS: Sorry my bad English I’m still learning.
PS2: Seriously I really wanted to see a dev explain why they hate so much swordsmen.

You picked a tank circle in a dps build. You will still be the swashbuckling party slave you used to be, what’s the difference?

It’s not a bad change for the sake of future contents. They’re trying to add “Scaling” to the game atm with the recent changes (Changing flat skills into percentage or adding a stat scaling to those moves so they somewhat have a future).

This change is to boost the intended role of Peltesta. As a tank.

Your role as a damager will likely come with C8 because they look like the class that is getting the most damage boost in C8 with all the buffs having huge %. (Dragoon and Fencer)

Both pelt buffs have massive atk penalties, the penalties are larger than the bonuses they give. Other branches don’t have this problem. There is no justifying why BOTH of their buffs have such large penalties.

Archers and wizards aren’t tank classes but they buffs that increase their defensive abilities with no penalty. Yet the premier defensive class in the game just HAS to have penalties to highlight their defensive abilites.

Bro, you are neither a dps, nor a tank. You are just a taunting slave. Picks dps ranks -> places peltasta -> sucks at both roles -> complains on forums.

Penguin does a better job as a tanking slave anyway.

It has a perma mini-swashbuckling aura that pulls up to 6 monster nonstop. IF you bug the AI so that it never runs or fight, you can just mount, unmount, aggro, mount, unmount and repeat. 0 CD mini-SB ftw.

Add in torch skill scroll if you want an actual SB on any class.

People don’t know how to make use of the classes they pick.
Back in icbt2 people were complaining about Cryo damage, saiyng they were useless near a Pyro.
They said Chronos were useless because had no damage skills.

Now people complains about swordsman.

Most people still complain about not being able to fight high level mobs 15 levels higher than them anyway. They will probably attempt to pull it off and get OHKO after the penguin dies cause all the aggro will be transfered to the player.

I will say that people don’t know how to play their damn classes since people are more or less shoving people into classes and expecting them to know. Every single time I see a Pelt just holding C and not even using the Pelt skills that raise block I just don’t know man.

But Swordies do have the disadvantage of range, AOE, and just generally number manipulation, not to mention we’re the only class that shoots itself in the foot in the game to make ourselves stronger. Quickcast wouldn’t be as toxic as it is now if there was a drawback to it.

Swordies do have a skill cap alot of people fail to realize, but even as a bruiser our damage is rather flat and tanking in this game is even more laughable.

Swordie is the retail job in the ToS class system, while also attending art school, with loads of debt.

The investment has no reward. Your value as a being isn’t high and everyone treats you like crap.

It’s like what I call everything.

Swordie is a flunk-out-of-Wiz-School reject with no magic whatsoever.
Clerics are Wizards who instead have holy spells.
Archers are Wizards who enchant their bows with magical properies.
And regular good ol’ Wizard does what it wants.

Real talk though I absolutely love most of the Swordie Aesthetics. I think that’s still why we suffer.

Guardian was useless anyway, what’s the matter? You only put 1 point on that crappy skill.
