Need your opinion for my AA Chap/pardoner SPRDEX build

Good day everyone!

First of all, I’m really sorry if i’m posting in wrong thread. (the forums is kinda confusing to use lol)

Second, I’m really sorry again if i had to make a thread for this instead of using the search button. (believe me, i tried.)

I need some tips and opinions regarding my pre-made build using the skill simulator tool.

Take note that, i’ve already played Cleric2 > priest2 path (then monk. str/dex) so i know some stuff for those class.

This build is going to be SPR/DEX instead of the usual STR/DEX. I’ll be getting my dmg from the latest blessing buff spr patch instead. (and also from aspersio/aspergillum, but i have no experience with chaplain yet so im just gonna ask some stuff here.)

Here’s my skill build.

Take note that, i didn’t distribute the skillpoints yet on pardoner since i really don’t know where should i put them tbh, aside from the spellshop. (and yes, im making this character for the spellshop as well.)

1.) I want to know your thoughts/opinion about my skill distribution. Especially on the priest3 where i went 15 to aspersio, blessing, sacrament (for spellshop) and left just 1 point to massheal, revive, resurrection, stoneskin.

2.) i also want to know where should i put those skill points in pardoner.

3.) And your thoughts about me going SPR/DEX instead of STR/DEX.

4.) Also, how good/strong is aspergillum/aspersio?

PS. I don’t have any potato for the long post, sorry. :sob:

I don’t know a single chaplain doing str dex

ohh… i thought they go str/dex for AA build. lol

Not sure about str/dex thing, but I went with a mix of spr, int, con. 1:3:1 to be precise.

I’ve seen some with pure spr that is viable, but note that the early level for this is hell-ish. Another reason I don’t go for pure spr is that I went for PD and I want the damage from Incineration.

But I’m not a pro or expert on this game, so don’t take my advice as a go to guide. Have fun.

Chaplains CAN go str/dex but I think the way clerics are kind of built around, it’s preferable to put more stats into spr or int. So the good thing about priests is that you can put any stats and you can’t really mess it up, but with chaplain I think you’re doing a disservice by not having int or spr because your main dps (aspergillum) scales with both, and not with str/dex.

However, if you wanted to make the priest solely for the purpose of making a spell shop and then ditching it, then I’d say str/spr might be better than dex for increasing your autoattack damage and I would recommend not taking chaplain so you can get spell shop asap.

TL;DR if you want to make a chaplain, don’t put dex, if you don’t, add str or go spr

soooo uhm. if im not going dex, should i just put it on con instead? tho i normally put 20-50 con with dex build and to almost all my characters but i never go straight str/con or int/con whatever build.

I’ve seen some ppl go con/spr build. I actually considered dex for dodging and crits for AA but if im not gonna go dex, in your opinion forum people, where should i put it?

oh btw, i want to ask this one as well. i wanna know if the normal attacks are the only ones that crit in AA? does the cafri/sacra/aspergillum/whatever crits? or does the bless add up to crit damage? Thanks everyone!

Yes, adding con is a nice fix here. For mages or dps clerics, int/con is the way to go, but priests benefit a lot from spr as well.

The way you stat depends on what you’re planning for your classes still.

And yes, only the normal attack can crit. All the other lines like what you mentioned does NOT crit. Blessing still adds to that one attack that crits. Another reason for priest spr now too is that we got the new blessing changes, so having high spr will increase your damage a bit better. I’ve seen priests in parties give +400 blessing so far, which adds to ALL of your lines. I think that outdpses taking dex

that’s actually my reason why im going spr build. because of the recent patch buff for blessing.

but do i have to put some int? as an AA cleric.

Anyways, thanks for all the infos guys! I really appreciate it  i wonder how long it’ll take me to level up this build tho. lol. My monk wasn’t that really hard. (or maybe it’s just me, idk)

No int for aa cleric. Even if you take chaplain the bonus for spr and int are the same, so more bonus for spr.
