Need suggestion for Rank 6 and 7

So currently the most effective build for Peltasta is:
Swordsman Peltasta Hoplite3 Doppelsoeldner Dragoon.

But I’m not really a fan of spear and I’m thinking of something like 1h sword:
Swordsman Peltasta Barbarian3 ??? ???

Thinking of taking DS at 6 but then my choices would be awkward at 7. No cross guard if I swap to 2h sword and no crits.
Sure there’s the Fencer c2 choice, but I’m not sure if rapiers are worth it, also the rapiers have very little durability (22~23).

Would a DS and Shinobi for Rank 6 and 7 make sense?

I’m part of the fencer crew and yes the durability on rapiers are very annoying.
but you get to have nice flashy skills!

you can go ahead and dual wield(sword+dagger) as doppel c2 just use the quick weapon swap when needed. if you get into a mission with no other possible tanks a shield may also come in handy for manual blocking

Sword > Peltasta > Barb3 > Doppel > Dragoon = Profit

you don’t like spears but sadly they are the best weapon.
this give you ability to use all weapons as barb skills are universal

if you really want, you can go for doppel2 and specialize in 2handed.

if you’re afraid of not bein able to tank as good as hoplite… this is very wrong…
i’m already tanking as a pelt>barb and level 200, and so far never found something that really hurt…
and not even magic monsters since i’m with party and a paladin ful support friend.

going shinobi instead rank2 doppel is also interesting but i don’t have much knowledge about shinobi, i think overall they are decent.
