Need some help with my build (spear based)

it’s my base build, i don’t play the first CBT so i have few question:

  • i’m not sure about squire, powering gear really worth it ?

  • if i switch Squire for another class, which one ? (cataphract just for the mount seem not worth it)

  • what stats ? i have no idea how to spend stats point, i want high critical, and enough CON for not dying all the time.

  • i have enough skills ?

I wan to use two handed spear, if i’m too squishy i can switch later to 1hspear+shield.

  1. I’m not too sure you should go Squire. Squire is strictly a team based support or a profit class. It also seems like an all-or-nothing sort of deal. If there’s someone else who’s Squire C2, then your Squire C1 is completely worthless.

  2. Why not Hoplite 3? power up the skills you already have, and max our Finestra which probably a spearmans best buff.
    If not, you can go Rodelero. If you’re going to be Hoplite, you’re going to have a shield anyways, so you have access to all of the Rotelero skills. Even having 1 rank in Rodelero is nice for the extra mobility and status effects you offer the team.

  3. I believe the general consensus for DPS’s (which you look like you are) is 3:1 STR:CON, with enough Dex just to be able to hit things. That should give you damage and block from STR, and enough CON to survive hits.

  4. Skills are how you want to build your character, so that’s all up to you

Bonus: As of right now, the only way for you to equip a 2 handed spear is to go Cataphract and buy the attribute for that class.

Thank you very much, i didn’t see hoplite can’t use 2h spear without the attribute of the cata, so i will build something like this:

With enough dex to have high critical rate, with finestra i think i can have a huge amount. i’m not sure about str and con, i will choose what i need at the moment.

What if you go highlander 1 instead of swordman 2? Highlander has Nice aoe skills and its very powerfull even c1, plus you can use his skills with spear so,

Swordman, highlander, hoplite 1,2,3, doppel

This is also good, just be careful of putting points into cross guard as you need to have a 2 handed equipped to use it.

Yep access to 3 more skills but i lose Gung Ho 10 and Restraint 5 who give 20% stun so i’m not sure :S

Yes, but gung Ho decresce defense, restrain decrease health, i don’t know if this 2 debuff plus a huge number of mobs Will help you to kill them all fast enough, without taking a lot of damage… Need to test it…

EDIT: you CANNOT use 2h spear without cataphract job…

I revive this thread to ask an advice about my build for the beta, I project to do Sword>sword>Hoplite>Hoplite>Cataph>Cataph.
Is Swordsman C2 a good choice? Or it’s better to pick Highlander? :x

Swordman C2 is a better choice because with the highlander you have only 2 skills who will work with the mount.

So take Swordman c2, get more point in your buff and get “Pommel Beat”.

Yes,I projected to get Pommel Beat if I pick sword c2, maybe get Restrain too if PvP is on.
It’s more clear now, thanks :3

Restrain can be good for PVE too ^^
