Hello there! This is my first swordman character. I now have a Archer1-Ranger3-Fletcher3 and a Archer2-Ranger1-Scout3-Rogue1. I am playing another character to excel in general PVE, and hopefully can do some PVP.
This is the build that i plan to go, Sw-Pel-Hop3-X-Dragoon2.
I am choosing corsair for X, because I thought Jolly Roger for farming and Hook to be somewhat viable for PVP. I need some advise on this, whether i am thinking it right, or no.
I am currently 65 level, Hoplite 1 on this character, I need some help on the remaining skill points allocation.
Sword: I added all skill points, Bash 3 for attribute (PVP).
Pelt: Level 3 guardian to match the duration with Finestra.
Hoplite: I max Finestra, Spear Throw and Stabbing, 1 point in pierce for attribute, and I have 8 remaining points to spare, not sure where to allocate.
Corsair: Max Jolly, and hook (PVP), I have 5 spare points. Need advise on this as well.
Dragoon: Honestly, I have not much idea on what skills to add. I need some advise on this in particular.
Stat wise, I have 10 cons rest dex for now. It seems that swordman are gaining a lot of hp (comparing to archer) when they level up? Do I need strength at all?
Also, if considering transcendence in mind, is it more beneficial to invest in 1h/2h spear? Please tell me if I understand it wrong:
2H has higher base damage and longer range, so it would be more beneficial for high level upgrade and trans.
1H would benefit more from shield gem socket, aka Didel Shield which has 2 sockets.
Except for this, is there any hidden benefit of using 1H/2H? Like, 1H bow gets 25% defense reduction, while 2H bow gets 2x damage on flying.
Thanks for reading this long question guys. I appreciate any of your input.
Thank you.
Tigris
