So I’m playing an auto attack based paladin with only carve, smite and eventually conviction as my main damage skills. I went Cleric 2> Diev 1> Paladin 3. Haven’t decided what I’m, gonna get for c7 yet but most probably gonna be PD. At the moment I’m level 150 with 125 points in strength and 50 points in con and and 7 spare stat points. Trying to decide if I should go full strength or full dex from here on out.
Thing is, I heard that the formula for crit % is 42 x ( Crit rate - Monster crit resistance) / Character level.
If I go full dex from now on and socket 3 level 6 green gems ( 2 on main hand, 1 on offhand) I’ll eventually have 137 + (32 x 2) + 42 = 243 crit rate. Add on the base 4 dex for a total of 247 crit rate.
Assuming an end game mob has a crit resistance of 100. My crit % will be 42 x ( 247 - 100) / 280 = 22. 05%.
Is this enough to justify going dex and green gems instead of strength and red gems?
