Fencer 3 is much too good to give up. For the best build I’d recommend going meta, but seeing that you want a shield, you should remove Shinobi in favour of another circle of Fencer.
So if i want shinobi its better to take something like doppelsoldner or something like that?
Wait cant i just wait for rank 9 and choose fencer 3?
By the time rank 9 is implemented if ever, you might have already leveled a lot of alts to rank8. Might as well enjoy the meta, or at least a decent rainbow build, now than become a masochist.

Yes you can. Change corsair into something else like Hoplite 3 or SW2.
if you’re totally not planning to do pvp…then u might wanna drop the corsair and get hop3…and max sycho thrusting…cuz i heard the clones copy that skill
but if im not mistaken hoplite skills are only usable with a spear type weapon and fencer skills are only usable with rapier…so if thats the case thats going to be a lot of weapon switching
and also fencer3 is where the fencer class really shine so i think you consider getting it instead of shinobi…plus shinobi class is a dead end right now, since it seems like it wont be getting a circle 2 ever

It is useful.
Just needs some good practice, and veteran players already knows how to counter it (moving around unpredictably, jumping out at the right time, Chrono using haste, baiting and catching you off-guard, etc.).
it is useful and actually that skill is meant for pvp
