Need help with Sw/Pelt/Hop3/Dop/Drag2 build

Hello community,

I’m new player to this game and would kindly ask for some advice with my build if possible :slight_smile:

Build I’m going for:

Swordsman > Peltasta > Hoplite(3) > Doppelsoldner > Dragoon(2)

Stats I’m aiming for:

Not more than 75 CON > Rest DEX

Questions:

  1. Should I be using a 1 or 2 handed spear?
  2. Which skills should I aim for with the “Swordsman/Peltasta and Doppelsoldner” class?
  3. Am I wrong to taunt for my group whilst using a 1h Spear + Shield?

Any other advice is also welcome :slight_smile:

Hi…
1 - Both are OK :sweat_smile: If you resist mobs damage, go for 2h spear :smile_cat:(You can swap your weapon). You will gonna need ±1700 physical defense for phys. mobs at 320+ maps, shields comes handy at this lvls. At lvl 220 maps, when you start to grinding, you usually need more phys defense, or you equip a Didel Shield, or some yellow gems on your plate set.

2 - (Swordsman) Bash lvl 3 for knocked down attribute; Pain Barrier at least 1 point; anything else is irrelevant later on, Concentrate lvl 5 may help you early on, if you can purchase it’s attribute, same for Gung Ho lvl 3.
(Peltasta) Swash Buckling lvl 5, buy the attribute. Guardian lvl 1, max it attribute. Anything else its irrelevant.

3 - You don’t need equip a sword for taunt, you can equip anything on primary, but you must equip a shield or a dagger on secondary for use taunt.

just geras spear and using it till r8

outdamage every spear include 2h

20-40 con is enough imo

0con is fine with new nyx knight set

sw max all buff, bash3 learn att then reset to1 if u want more cc
pel tuant and buff
dop cyclone and 2 buff
pretty simple

5 in pain barrier. srsly, max it. concentrate and gung ho - you won’t need BOTH of those. concentrate too little number of attacks at lvl5. guardian is better than gung ho as you are full dex and would need to survive doppel def penalty. so, bash 3 and barrier 5, else irrelevant. but that only goes for Sw1.

I just got to Sw1-Pelt1-Hop3 and now Dragn1.

I think I allocated quite some skill points incorrectly and wondering if you guys could help me find the best points for the classes.

I was thinking of the following:
Possible Drag build - not all points spend link

Swordsman1 ->

Pain Barrier 5/5
Bash 3/5 (knockdown attribute)
Gung Ho 5/5 (+attributes)
Concentrate 2/5

Peltasta1 ->

Swash Buckling 5/5
Guardian 5/5
(?) Need help spending remaining points on this class

Hoplite1-3 ->

Stabbing 15/15
Finestra 15/15
Spear Throw 5/5
(?) Need help spending remaining points here

Doppelsoeldner1 ->

Cyclone 5/5
Deeds of Valor 5/5
(?) Need some help spending remaining points here

Dragoon1 ->

5/5 Serpentine
5/5 Dragontooth
(?) Need some help spending remaining points here

Any advice is welcome, especialy where I don’t know how to spend the points.
Also - I tried to get Geras Spear. I farmed Chaser chest for about 85~ times without any luck, neither has the Chaser/Geras Spear been on the market since I posted my first post here… :frowning:

5 umbo blow (you will never use it when you reach dragoon anyway)
Hoplite 3
1 spear lunge and 9 pierce for debuff if full PVE or 1 spear lunge, 1 jump (i forget the name but that skill you jump and dunk like LeBron) and 8 pierce
Doppel
5 in Double pay Earn
Dragoon
Save 5 skill points to insta max the Dethrone skill when you reach Dragoon 2, that skill is stupidly strong, also buy the attribute increase melee damage for Serpentine (unlock at Dragoon 2)

Geras spear is not really necessary, it is more a luxury item, you should focus on the Catacomb Pike, put 3 red/yellow gem in it and enjoy damage until lv330

concentrate over gung ho because guardian is better and scale strongly on late game, also concentrate consume 1 charge on skills making it stronger

u don’t need to spend every points you have
peltasta 5 swash, 1-5 guardian
hop3 max spear throw, finestra, stabbing, lv1 spear lunge > a lot of free points here
doppel max double pay earn first > cyclone > deeds of valor

i rarely use dragoon c1 skill
just put 1 in each for nothing and never use it
attribute cost is expensive and not worth invest (for now)
spear throw all the way
hop stabbing still do better damage than full rotate dragoon c1 skill
lv40-50 in stabbing/spear throw attribute (depend on your budget) i’ve got lv60 throw
start saving your silver for dethrone attribute (don’t wasted your silver on spear for now)

geras spear is the best spear when you are not r8 yet
it’s almost kill truffle in 1 spear throw, storage mob in 2 spear throw
u can sell it later when u don’t need
i’m using it till 330
even geras have low base damage, it have 4 socket (2weapon 2shield)
shield make everything easier when lvling, questing
tanky as hell, high def/mdef, block some annoying knockdown attack, taunt
swap to 2h spear when bossing, doing daily saalus/dungeon rush

if u don’t have geras, save money for dethrone attribute, don’t buy expensive spear
just use anything u have for lvling
u need atleast 6m silver when u hit dragoon c2
