Need help with stat for paladin build+class choice[urgent]

hello, i finally created my cleric, but since i am so much confused on what to do + no stat reset i am lv15 with no stat used, i don’t know for how much i will be able to keep it that way so i am reading a lot of topics and trying to understand how it works.

my build would be something like C2>?>Paladin3>?

the third rank could be diev or krivis, while the last rank kabbalist or no idea( i don’t like plague doctor very much)
i’d like to be a support/dps, relying on convinction+smite high dmg to do dps off cooldown and then focusing on healing/buffing. So i don’t think i would need much str since i wouldn’t have to time to auto atk that much and my main dmg skills don’t multihit(i think str works better with multi hit since it applies str value to every hit of the skill)

STR: low value so it can scale a bit with the 10% increase every rank, like 50points

DEX: no dex at all since i would need to up it constantly to rival the crit resistance from monster and i don’t have stat to spare, i’ll just try to gear up with crit chance gems i suppose

CON: low-medium value, no idea how much it should be, just enough to not be squishy

INT: low value just like STR so 50 points

SPR: main focus so i can spam skill all day, help with deprotect zone(how much def have mobs at lv280??), smite spam, turn undead augment, magic def with barrier, zalciai augment if i go krivis

at lv 280 it should be somethings like:

going high spr seems good if i go krivis(for zalciai) as third rank but i’m really liking the idea of going diev…i know carve is a multi hit skill and it needs more str to be great but i just like those statue carving skills!
Also if someone could say me what’s the duration of zalciai(can’t find it) it would help me make a good decision.
do you think going krivis at rank7 would be a terrible idea? i don’t like much kabbalist/plague doctor actually

it’s a bit late here in Italy now so i may have messed up or forgot somethings, i will rewiev the topic if i can, i hope you can give me some insights

Either go SPR or go STR/DEX. Don’t go both. And I don’t think you really need INT at all. It helps heal and cure, but that’s about it. Similarly don’t get kriv + diev. Diev works with STR/DEX, kriv works with SPR.

Zalciai has well over 100% uptime. I think it lasts about 30 seconds initially?

Last rank doesn’t have to be PD. Kabbalist works as a tanky mana battery. Oracle is doable for misc utility. Pardoner is good with SPR + barrier scrolls.

how much dex should i need if i go str/dex? because i heard that if u put low/medium dex, you will only crit on low level mob due to their low crit def

another question, if i have smite lv 15(1771 base dmg) if i have 0 str i will hit for 1771? and if i have 250str by 1771+250?

With my lvl 3 zalciai:
(not sure if it changes with skill level, didn’t look to much at it before.)

5s duration of the circle.
40s duration of the debuff/buff.

The attribute adds 9s total to both the buff/debuff, but adds a 4s to the cd. (20s>24s)

Ps, enemies/allies have to walk into the circle to get the debuff/buff.
pps, zalciai does not hit flying enemies.

I still stand behind my full str recommendation.

Not sure how much Dex you need (if any). I’m doing the Krivis SPR build.

And yes, that is how smite’s damage works, except it includes your physical damage, not just your STR. So 1771 + STR + Level + WeaponAttack. And then x2 against demons/mutants.

i hit lv42 and still deciding the next circle, i think i am set on a high str build

which is basically somethings like 3:2:1: str:spr:con(maybe i’ll add some more con)

skills:

still unsure about pd skills(i went to research on pd and now i like it more). Does incinerate work with statue of lamia/deprotected zone/convinction debuff/resist element magic debuff?
i think it should be nice to combo convinction>pandemic>incinerate

now that i think of it with convinction, smite get 3x hit so it may be considered multi hits and good to use with str too…carve does 5 so great.

also could someone explain why no one take the mask?

i hope that my build won’t fail XD what do you think?

Conviction is REALLY good.
Plague Doctor - don’t worry about it. A good number of this subforum will go Plague Doctor but most of us haven’t really experienced it.
Come back and check the forum when you’re close to Plague Doctor. By that time we’ll all be talking about it.

The smite triple hit with conviction isn’t really a true multi hit. I believe it acts similiar to energy bolt in which it shows multiple damage numbers though it all happens in one calculation. So while it looks like a triple hit. It is more like a 2.0x multiplier applied to smite. Since both of the additional hits do about half the original.

Its still additional scaling with strength, but its less than if it truly became a triple hit skill.

I mainly became aware of this due to the fact that either all 3 hits crit or none of them crit, and against enemies with high dodge either all attacks hit or its completely dodged.
