I have absolutely no idea about clerics, but i want to create a support;buff seller kind of character. I just need it mainly to sell buff but to use it aswell for dungeon etc. Can anyone help me with it? With stat, skill builds and such. Thanks for anyone who’s willing to help! Cheers!
cleric 1->priest 3-> pardoner 2…
thats basically it.
stats you can got 1:2 con to int, since you can basically reach rank 6 with any stats build including full con
Allocate your stat points to 1CON:3SPR ratio.
does spr affect shop buff power?
No.

Why not up aspersio? isn’t it a good buff? Can’t you sell it aswell?
Aspersion isn’t really that great at sales.
So, you need 10 Holy water for one buff, that costs 500 silver. Adding the 50% tax means that you need to sell the buff at 1000+ to earn.
Most people don’t know about the tax and instead, they sell it at ~850 because of competition. They are actually losing out.
So it’s better to avoid Aspersion and spend your points on other skills, since you are going to use that char for dungeon runs
As a buff, Aspersion is… Mediocre at best. At 15 it gives +48% def. To make this easy, let’s assume 50%.
So if I have 200 Def, this negates 200 damage. Add aspersion, it negates 300 damage. For higher level things mobs are hitting for 2k+, that is a 5% reduction in damage. Not amazing imo, and it eats a buff slot.
Compare this with Stone Skin which nullifies physical damage if you block…
People buy it, you can sell it, but it’s still pretty terrible.
Pardoner c2 (Spell Shop) isn’t what you’re looking for, then. It requires a messed-up Priest build from the support point of view, meaning the character won’t be too functional in dungeons other than being a heal bot.
Two of the main buffs you sell through Pardoner (Sacrament and Aspersio) aren’t really any good in endgame at all. But if you don’t get them, and in particular if you don’t sell Sacrament, you won’t be competitive.
Note that if you go for this route, your profits will be SLOW (think 100~200 silver profit per buff, due to 50% tax). It’s not quick money at all. If you’re still going for it you should probably go near full-INT, with 60~80 CON… at least your heals will be decent that way.
Just going Pardoner c1 for lv1 Simony’s much better if you want to actually use the character, though… still slow money, but scrolls give a considerably larger profit margin, especially if Simony’s properly kept at lv1 and you plan on using a token in the future. Krivis1 will be enough to make Simony useful, but you can opt to go for a Simony-specialized build (Krivis1, Paladin3, maybe Oracle) and still be a far more functional character than Spell Shop Priest3>Pardoner2.
So, you need 10 Holy water for one buff, that costs 500 silver.
Isn't that 1 Holy Water? Unless the description's wrong. (Whatever the materials are, though, I do remember them costing 500 silver total.)
Aspersio’s decently bad, yeah. But not having it will decrease your competitiveness… people’d much rather go to someone with every maxed buff (and attributed Blessing) than without. By that point it’s just psychology tbh, a shop with more variety simply looks better - but even if they never actually buy your DEF buff, they’ll have a feeling that “this shop has that option if I ever want it”, so it indirectly increases your sales on the other two buffs.
The unreal competition and people not knowing about the 50% tax is definitely a detriment. Still, imo, the tendency is that, with time, universal prices will inflate… eventually it’ll at the very least be enough to break the 1000+. For now I’d just sell it at 1000~1100 even if it doesn’t sell, just for the said above, and to attempt to set the market.
So it's better to avoid Aspersion and spend your points on other skills, since you are going to use that char for dungeon runs
...at that point it's better to avoid Spell Shop altogether imo and just go Pardoner1. Squire/alch makes much more money off of afk shops, either way.
Hey @Naivety
I keep seeing you around demotivating buff-seller pardoner
I think we should encourage more of them so that we would get ‘better’ competitive price for buff in the market. lol jk
Eh, it’s okay. Good for both sides (just not for the ones buying Pardoner buffs, but those’ll still stay cheap no matter what).
For the ones who already do have Spell Shop, they’re better off with less competition; for the ones who were thinking of it, they know what they’re getting into.
Not like many read the forums anyway. Might as well give good advice to those who do.
Would love to see your research comparing each of every class shop class profit per hour tho.
Would be great if all the data comes from someone who have both or all of the vendor class (pardoner/alc/squire)
Hmm… I haven’t researched that far on the matter, but from what I gathered:
-
Pardoner: highest demand early-game, falls off late game. Lowest leveling time investment, only requires rank6 for Pardoner2. Blessing has decent-ish silver profit (~400) but doesn’t get sold often due to hit count, requires expensive attribute; Sacrament is 100~200 profit; aspersion is negative~zero (lol)
-
Squire: high demand overall, highest endgame demand. Can alternate between Wep Maint/Repair for accomodating competition. I didn’t look for numbers, will confirm by making a topic on it, but at least I’m decently sure profits are higher than Sacrament’s e.e’
-
Alch: potions are high demand but demand farming for mats by yourself (and still low profit); you might be better off just selling said mats on market with VIP, since they’re weirdly expensive there. Gem roasting is highest profit/mats, but ridiculously low demand compared to Squire/Pardoner.
Will edit with sources later: got to track the ones I used, since I didn’t actually save them, and need new ones. I don’t think I’ll find someone with all three crafters just readily available like that, but that won’t be required for a good comparison.
