So I do not have a high level character in TOS to test Dievdirby but I like the concept of the class so I decide to follow this path. I think this is a unique way to be a supporter in a party. I will leave the main FS role to other players. But I still have some questions.
How does my build look in general?
Can I just ignore Carve Vakarine and Carve since I can buy woods and I can do damage mostly from Owl?
How is Statue of Goddess Ausrine? I do not really see any build mention it.
I’m not sure what my rank 6 should be. I do not choose Druid because I don’t have Carve skill. I choose Krivis because Aukuras, Daino, and Zaibas seem to be useful in parties. Oracle could be an option, too.
Should I go with those skills for my PD?
For stats, I think I am going to go with CON until I think it’s enough, SPR for MP if necessary, then the rest is INT?
2. yes Carve Vakarine is just create a copy of Vakarine statue that you see in some map nothing special. Woods are very very cheap. Owl is stationary have long duration and cd so it only practical when you don't need to move(some boss fight, earth tw, farming in some high density map).
3. if 18seconds 2times immunity is worthless so.
4. Carve don't do great damage anyway if you don't play str-dex
5. PD with out Bloodletting is simply unforgivable.
6. yes
You’re pretty much running the same exact combination of classes as I intend to. Couple of comments.
With this build, you are (and are fully capable of being) the main support. Parties will rarely take in a second cleric for high level content.
Personally I would take out 6 points from Safety Zone and max out Cure, which is great DPS at any stage of the game. The Safety Zone attribute gives you +20 block count, and 40 blocks in 20 seconds is overkill.
You can ignore Carve (unless you’re STR-based) and Vakarine, which is what teleport scrolls are for. The Laima statue can be left at level 5, which gives you 50s duration along with 52s cooldown and so virtually 100% uptime. Leveling it beyond 5 gives no benefits beyond longer duration. Max out Ausrine.
It’s true that Ausrine isn’t as ideal as other invulnerability skills, but is nevertheless a useful panic button. I saw a video in which an entire party kites a mob while running anti-clockwise around the statue, which seemed to work fine. Admittedly, C3 Diev is less about Ausrine than it is about maxing out World Tree and Owl, but meh, just get it since otherwise you’ll have excess points lying around.
Like you I’ve struggled with what to choose for rank 6. Chortasmata + Carve is cute but otherwise pointless when you’re blasting everything away using Carnivory anyway. And a STR-based Carve Diev will never go Druid, which is INT-based. Oracle’s skills make little sense now since its “hype” skill Resetting does not work on boss cubes, which is where the majority of good loot comes from.
I ended up settling for Krivis, because Daino is useful and because Aukuras and especially Zalciai give you two additional debuffs to use with Incinerate. Zaibas is also an okay, INT-scaling skill that lets you deal with flying mobs whenever you owls are on cooldown.
A PD without Bloodletting is like a Cleric without Heal. Max out Bloodletting. Fumigate, Pandemic and Beak Mask are highly optional. If you want them, put at most 1 point in each by taking away points from Incinerate (ouch) or Healing Factor (even more ouch).
Edit: I guess if you really are worried about what may happen to your party during Bloodletting’s downtime, you can take 1 point out of Incinerate and put it in Fumigate for emergency use. Alternatively, take the point out of Bloodletting and use Divine Might whenever you cast Bloodletting.
Your answers are pretty detailed and informative. I really like it! I think I will put some points in Cure and lower Safety Zone. How about Divine Might? Is it good to max it or have it at all in your opinion after the nerf?
And what do you think about replacing PD with Krivis C2? I see that everyone tries to go with PD on rank 7. Is it necessary to have in a party? I’m just trying to see what different build brings in for a party.
Max it since where else will you put your points in?
Krivis C2 is mostly for INT-based DPS builds, which is clearly not what you’re doing. It’s not bad or anything, but PD and Kabbalist being rank 7 classes are far superior to Krivis, which is a rank 2 class.
C2 Krivis gives you Divine Stigma, which isn’t bad but annoying to use when your party members don’t understand its mechanics. Plus it bugs alot. PD or Kabbalist give you so much more in terms of support. If you want to be “different”, Kabbalist is a good choice since most people go PD.
Towers, Carnivory, and Incineration ( AOE debuffs from deprotection zone, silence and movement speed debuffs from totems) = 11 seconds incineration for semi DPS (and this is only from your own debuffs, if you’re a party, chances are you’ll have it up 100% of time or close to it).
This applies to PVP where you can use Druids telepath to walk your enemy in front of the totems/ Carnivory for death.
Support comes from Heal, Safety Wall, and PD status ailment cures and totems.
Left Divine Might at 0 as the nerf made it a waste of points. +1 to the next 5 skills doesn’t really add that much, especially if you’re partying with classes that have long CDs. Invested those points into Heal, Deprotected Zone, and Safety Wall.
I left cure at one because I feel that I already have enough damage coming from PD, totems and Carnivory. Also, PD takes care of status ailments.
Carnivory only works on maps with grass, which is why Chortamata is needed. Also, I would remove points from Deprotected Zone to get Cure and Divine Might.
Ah thanks for the heads up about Carnivory. Taking points out of Shapeshifting for this.
Divine might is pretty pointless to me. Explanation is above.
Cure is not that useful for status ailments are I’m a plague doctor. Damage? sure but we have totems, Carnivory and Incineration which have a bigger AOE than just cure. And as many people said, bosses don’t stay in one place much less one cure square. Unless someone can confirm that adding into cure is a big DPS booster I’m going to just leave it at 0.
Deprotected Zone can be left at 3 for the attributes
Cure is pretty good damage, especially if you’re going an Int build.
I haven’t tried Divine Might yet, but I’ve noticed most people get it. Maybe someone else can give a better explanation. But it does give an extra heal title, which should be useful.
Take 1 point from vakarine and put it into zemyna. I feel like zemyna will be so useful in towers since its intense fight.
Cause i feel like 1 teleport just useless ( better off with teleport scroll ). Unless you put 5 skills on it for the entire party.
Laima. You only need 6 to be honest… as lv6 gives you 110% uptime already. So anything higher than 6 is a waste. I would just take 3 from laima and 1 from vakarine and put them all on zemyna
Nobody uses Cure for the status recovery but it’s great single target DPS even in the late game. It actually has better INT scaling than Carnivory so with enough INT it can actually out-damage Carnivory on mobs weak to Holy (5.5k per hit vs ~4k per hit).
In places like Earth Tower/PVP/Bosses, will enemies stay inside the cure tile?
Also, as you said, it’s single target. training spots/earth tower/PVP have more than one enemy.
If it’s been widely tested that they do and it does add a lot of dps then I’ll add to it. What’s a suitable level for it? Max? Or is a certain level good enough?
