Hi guys , i have never play the closed beta before so i did some research trying to make a corsair build (PvE). Swordsman>Highlander>bar2>corsair2> ?? Some questions regarding the rank and stats.
If i’m going for dual wield weapon (one h sword and dagger?) should i take Highlander instead of peltasta since i wont be holding shield later on. Stats evasion and crit and mostly from dex? Dual wielding in this game seems to be the Corsair’s thing. How good is it? Don’t ask me.
Peltasta gives you an attribute to block with shield. If you don’t take Peltasta as your first rank you can’t even block with your shield. You can use one, but never block with it using C.
Highlander is mostly favored by 2H sword users for the 50% critical bonus damage from attributes.
You do a ton of weapon swapping in the game and Swashbuckling can help you mob. If you use nothing from the C1 Highlander then just drop it for another circle in sword perhaps for 20% stun chance on all skills and a bit more concentrate levels.
That’s just me though. I don’t play a dual wielder, but Corsair seems to be to go to class for those wanting to hit with both weapons at the same time.

Just for a short answer, you should still take Peltasta early if you want to taunt with Swashbuckling. It can still be used with daggers off-hand, so the early game struggle will have payoffs later.
