Need advice. New Chrono3 here, when do you guys decide to use Pass?

I just hit Chrono3 and I find it pretty satisfying despite the challenge of leveling solo. So anyway when do you guys decide to use pass? After your tree is on cd? After you see your teammates use specific skills? Do you guys announce it first before using it?

Use it after your teammates use their big skills (like frost cloud), or if you see your teammates using mediocre filler skills or normal attacks on a non-auto attack based build.
