My thoughts on C7 classes (and Templar as a guild leader)

@tsigetartseht Oh, might be true. I wrote it thinking that when it appeared these events started. :c
Then let’s purify it! xD

Yeah purifying it is the correct one  :+1:

@STAFF_John could confirm if it is a devil tree or a tree to be purified :v

You’ll find out if you play through the main questline >_>;

I did it. ~Waiting for the obt.~

If you did then you shouldn’t really miss it lel
Since that fact was stated by one of the goddesses iirc

There’s a difference between giving input or feedback and crying like a moron about buggy ■■■■ as if said bugs were a feature when they are obviously going to be fixed in a testing phase that is for fixing those bugs

You and OP belong in the latter group.

Any more retarded sarcastic remarks you have to offer?

“That’s classified.”

YEAH! We are all crying at our desks about this!

Get real. People are going to offer input and it does not have to prescribe to the way you think.

Do screenshots of quests can prove that I did it? :v

Why do people insist on being this type of person “oh, if you did that” or “you’ll find it if you play, dumb” instead of just saying what matter or staying quiet? .-.

Hey I’m not saying it like that
I’m just pointing out my proof that it was there in the first place and not giving emphasis that you might have missed it or anything. Just giving correction lore-wise, other than that is not part of my intention :v:

Oh, then sorry. :c I’ve played the main quest line with just one character exploring everything I could about my build so it’s likely that I don’t remember some dialog or so.

Then that explains everything
The dialogue is quite unrefined and boring so it’s a usual thing for players to not bat an eye to it
I however, am interested to the summary/structure of the lore since not much info was released about it in the wiki or anything.

In short, I wanted to know why are we in this adventure in the first place? Because an adventure is not an adventure if it doesn’t have any purpose :open_mouth:

Welp, seems we have cosmically derailed this topic and for that I am sorry :v:

Me too :c I am sorry to everyone

Honestly the game has the worst type of story. One where it tries to make you the main character despite it being an mmo. Are you telling me im the chosen savior of this world? But my 4 buddies here just talked to you and you told them they are all the one chosen savior of the world…

Well of course if you take it from that point of view then yeah, it sorta is pointless but if you place yourself as the one true savior among revelators in the story then it all makes sense (for my own point of view that is).

Do note that it is true and confirmed in the story that there are many revelators and you are one of them but your ultimate quest is to prove that you are the one true savior. (There was a quest wherein you have to defeat NPC revelators and they were also called ‘revelators’ in the dialogue.

Also, the story has potential as long as they do the approach of the story right or something like a major plot twist/unimaginable revelation as part of the story in the future.

The story should get better since they announced quests will be pretty much gone and rare after level 200. So they can stop trying to write a thousand small dialogue and make some good stories for the few main quests.

?

Thematically speaking, i think that the Templar as a “guild master” class, that can create a guild and is able to empower its members, is a great concept.
But of course it does take up a class, and it may be quite a dire cost in terms of performance, combat-wise, even if just due to opportunity costs (aka: could have taken other combat classes instead).
Thus my proposal on the matter is: what if Templar had some attribute (something like Leadership or Power of the Master) that gave some sort of cooldown reduction/cost reduction and other bonuses based on how many guild members are nearby (or just in party, eventually; or even just in guild)?
Albeit, in team battle mode the values could be different and fixed, for balance purposes.
Essentially, it would try to make up for the lesser amount of combat skills with an increased usability and damage, in a way that makes sense for the class (it is not just your power - you represent the guild, its members, and act with their powers combined).
Heh, if they wanted to do something really fancy, the bonuses you get could even depend from whatever class is in use by a guild member (or last logged in, for someone that isn’t online). In PvE, at least - as in team battle, that could easily cause balance issues.

So, here’s my suggestion to IMC, if you agree, please make it reach the Dev Team:

Every class tree (sword, mage, archer and cleric) should have a “guild leader” cicle, which is a HIDDEN CLASS and can only be raised to C1, and why is that? Simple, because it solves many problems people are facing now, as:

  • Forcing to use swordie class if they like another class
  • Fear of wasting 3 cicles of skills just for utility
  • Don’t want to be using alts or spending a lot of time building them
  • People will gadly sacrifice that one cicle because they will know crystal clear the purpose of it
  • The playstyle of the guild could vary as the leader class varies too, which means more strategy involved
  • It will make every guild clashes far more interesting by having the leader mainly on the front lines
