Tree of Savior Forum

My suggestions, some are old and some are new. Take a look!

Since I’m not active in these forums I won’t know which suggestion were proposed but I have a few of my own that I would like to get out there. Hopefully it haven’t been suggested yet.

  1. Fashion
This game in my opinion seems to be lacking in the gear-fashion department. I would prefer it if this game was something like Aion or FFXIV. Within every 5-10 levels we can wear different looking armors. These games have a HUGE selection of gears for most level range. If not different designs but different color of the same design. The way how it is now in ToS it looks like you’ll have to level up for 25-35 whole levels to finally get a different uniform. According to the item database it doesn’t look like there’s much choice even with your general costume. VERY LACKING in the customization department.

  2. Skinning
We should also have the ability to skin our gears over the ones that we don’t want. Example, Archer Jacket has…+123 def. It’s craptastic stat wise but it looks nice compared to Bard Robe. By contrast the Bard Robe has more stats to offer so…cut the skin of Archer Jacket and paste it onto Bard Robe to get the appearance of the Archer Jacket but the stats of the Bard Robe. It should also be the same for our weapons.

  3. Grimoires for mages and clerics
Lately I’ve become quite interested in the mage tree and I thought if I was to main as a mage I would like good looking weapons as well. Mages are by no means meant to be in the front-line, they are the epitome of glasscannon. So let’s focus on that. Still don’t get what I mean? Let some of us who want a boost in magic damage and critical have the option to use “grimoires or tomes” as an off-hand weapon. I think this would blend in quite well while using a wand or a rod with the magic books on the off-hand. Another thing is…not only would mages benefit from this, cleric class would too as well but it should be locked to mages and clerics ONLY.

  4. Faction
Maybe the ToS developers have already talked about this but I wouldn’t know since I’m not active and I don’t follow up on most of the news. When I was playing FFXIV I really enjoyed the Grand Company feature in that game. Once you joined a faction you’d open up a new storyline based on your faction, you’d do quests, get points, kill opposing faction members, and buy gears/whatever with the points earned. I like this type of system and ToS should think about making a similar system as well. This could be a guild vs guild kind of thing like WoE. The grand companies should be the main factions, the guilds should be the lesser factions that makes up the grand companies. Maelstrom!

  5. The World
From the look of things, ToS looks pretty big but it looks like at this moment they only focus on ONE continent. I’d like to see an Asian, African, and Pacific Island continents sooner or later. RO was pretty good at making the lore diverse because they added Payon, Morroc, etc. With the newer updates they added Comodo, Amatsu, and countless more. I’d love to see this in ToS with the addition of new storylines and quests.

That’s all for now. Relay this message to the devs or whatever if the suggestions sounds good. Peace.

  1. This game hearkens back to old games when your appearance told others your class. But there will likely be cash shop costumes.

  2. I would be okay with this for our weapons and shields since they change.

  3. Grimoires are a class mechanic for necromancers and summoners. So i wouldn’t expect other classes to get them unless they are also a summoning class.

  4. Hated companies in 14 and if we end up getting guild wars why do we need factions our faction is the guild we choose to Allie our self with.

  5. Who knows maybe the ToS world is a Pangaea in the lore? But i wish the maps were less tunnel like.

About point 5

While I’d personally prefer they keep the game world consistent, it makes me wonder just how much you can squeeze out from something as obscure as Lithuanian mythology. Although the game did feel very original in its own fantasy setting, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem.

I wouldn’t say they focused on only one continent either. From what I remember, data gathering efforts from the art direction team included not only Lithuania, but Nepal (Fedimian city), France, Turkey, India and China. So yeah, just because it’s not heavy on the stereotype (in case of the game world, classes are a different thing here) doesn’t mean it’s not there. However, for this same reason I wouldn’t be surprised to see more cultural themes included later. Maybe you’ll get to see an African-based class or a city inspired on Tenochtitlan in some update, but with a totally original lore.

As I said, I am happy as long as they keep some sense of consistency.

It’s funny that I read all the ToS blog entries when they came out but I totally forgot the most part and last time I checked something I found the one where they are talking about sub weapons such as daggers and actually there will be magical ones too that will allow you to use unique skills.

I found the video of it:
