My problem with most MMOs

Not used as example of an MMO, goes for both examples as its even mentioned further on, but if you didnt get the reasoning behind (or didn’t accept as valid) why these games were brought up (could even use racing/platform games if they had astounding systems or did something remarkable) then its no wonder you have reservations as these being used for reference :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Still if you would happen to know of an MMOs that do great/better or just as good in each area, please mention or link a video, that is kinda one of the purposes of this analysis, in a sense.

*Edit for better phrasing and appear less threatening, though it is never my intention to be agressive some people in the forums love to take it personal  , my english is far from perfect :sleepy:

I do agree about the spell combinations… Hopefully ToS has plenty. At least the Wizards alone seem to have many. Lethargy -> EarthQuake was a dmg amp in iCBT, Sleep Magic Missile (though I didn’t get to test that one), Ice and Lightning Spells, Attributed Joint Penalty and whatever element you attributed.

I do wonder though how things are going to be like on release. The new class system where you can backtrack to finish old circles will increase homogenization. But there are clear benefits from a development stand point. You don’t have to worry about the scaling of low rank skills into late game as much if players can go back and put more points in them.

In a game with very open ended character building it takes very little time for the games forum to establish a few “brokenly” powerful builds which the large casual player base will copy-paste.
The harder it is to make a good build yourself the more will copy the popular builds.

This is in my experience always true in MMOs ive yet to experience a exception to this rule, but if you know of a MMO that has a complicated character build and most players actually make their own builds id be interested in knowing name and how that system works.
