My new Dps Corsair build

Swordman + Peltast + Hoplite + Hoplite + Corsair + Corsair… I want create class with high amount of dps + high attack speed…

I sacrificed Swordsman 2 because Concrete and Gungho 2 does not add much of damage… I picked Peltast for Swash Buckling and Guardian for increasing Def… Provoke is very useful when u are farming mobs… Hoplite 2 for Finestra because it gives u a lot of critical rate, blockrate and it has awesome attribute that increase 10 of character’s INT to your Physical damage if Finestra is enabled… Corsair for Double Weapon Assault, Hexen dropper, Dust devil… Also Corsairs have attribute that Increase your backstabbing damage to 100…

I know that Doppel Death of valor increase my attack speed but problem is with Doppel is im going to lose Double weapon assault and Hexen Dropper if I pick 1 Doppel instead of Corsair 2…

What u think?

Finestra won’t give you godlike block and crit at the same time, you most likely will have to chose one to increase with your stat points a lot more.

Also, if you want to use double weapons, focusing on block won’t be much effective…

The block thing is just extra so I dont mind it that much… Finestra at level 10 give Critical Rate + 60% …Sound a lot?

Interesting, finestra looks great for corsair ^^
@harimaku but finestra have required stance

Double weapon assault is a must for corsair =p

and about concentrate and gunho, both have good attributes

At level 100 you will need close to 170 crit chance to have a consistent number of crit attacks income. Even for level 10 Finestra, this means 80~ DEX plus some gems, or 106~ DEX and no gems. More than half of your stat points investment.

Aside for your high cd skills, the only way for you to do good damage w/o much STR investment would be not using basic attacks at all, but spamming Thrust with high attribute level (since it has 0 cd now) like Archers spamm Oblique Shot. This way you can use a shield and focus on CON for blocking too (going Doppel instead of Corsair C2).

If you want Double Assault Wepon, using Thrust will be useless for the buff and you will need to focus on STR instead of CON to do damage. And while dual wielding, any block you had would be wasted.

My point was that shield + Corsair C2 won’t work well because you can’t do everything well at the same time.

What about weapons that increase you critical rate? Im using Dual wielding…

What is the point of normal Dps if thrust is better? Are u talking about Shield + Spear build?

Im not going for Shield + Corsairs… More like A Spear + Dagger… You can now use Finestra with Dual wielding… They change it from recent patch… Also Swash Buckling works with OneHandSpearDagger…Guard does not have Req Stance-.

Watch this video:

He starts the video with full STR, then at 1:52 he changes to full DEX, look at the crit rate difference on his stats, see the difference in practice and judge for yourself. Also notice how much his damage has decreased with a full DEX build if he doesn’t crit.

Btw I don’t think you can “spam” thrust too much, your SP will run out way too fast. Thrust is pretty bad in use though, not much different from an auto attack as you can see from this video.

Also note that he is using Slash attacks (2H sword auto attack and Double Slash) against enemies with Plate armor. Note the reduced damage - these mobs are actually 17 levels lower than him and he’s still taking a bit of time to kill them. This is what he’s fighting in the video:

[/quote]When you talked about Peltasta skills I thought about blocking (since you mentioned Finestra increasing it later too), so in my mind you were intending to use a shield, lol!

[/quote]Thrust wouldn’t proc Double Assault Weapon, killing the point of going C2 Corsair.
BUT I said it while thinking you wanted to use shields sometimes, with the need to increase CON, so you wouldn’t have points to invest in STR and your basic attacks would suck.

Since its clear that you are not going to rely on shields and blocks, you can ignore what I said before, lol.

The build seems good for DPS, but keep in mind you will be very squishy if you plan to PvP.

Yeah it was my Intention going for Full dps… xD So I knew that my build suck in Pvp…

Ur wrong,finestra at lv 15 give you 150 crit rate, that mean is 15% crit rate, u need 1k points crit rate to reach 100% crit but at that time your crit dmg will be very low, cus no STR invested, so low crit dmg, with the mobs lv 270 u will find that really hard to finish them cus each of mobs had hp higher 200k hp, 100% crit rate wont work with corsair, it more suiltable with fencer, murmillo or dopp.
