My Monk Build, new person here

http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/n0ctqc10kr/ This is my monk build, any suggestions? I want to go for a pvp focus with some usefulness in pve of course. Some skills will likely change but this is what i got playing around with it a bit, not entirely sold on the Bokor but it seems like fun lol.

Okay, I’ll assume you the type of cleric that goes all gung-ho and knows nothing but killing mooks.

Get zaibas. You’re gonna be crapping yourself when you’re leveling early in the game.

Reduce your zalcial (lv1 - lv3_. You’re not gonna get much unless you align your stats to spirit, which is not gonna happen.

Get divine stigma as well. For mook killing purpose, you’d want a damage boost. Toss the remaining skill points in your aukuras.

Bokor…hmm. Don’t like it. Not much skill to, except hexing and effigy. Zombies are useless at c1 bokor, unless you want to troll people by summoning zombies in town.

One inch punch lv 10. The rest of the skill goes to your preferred skill.

My suggestion is to scrap this build and try again. You normally don’t want to choose classes prior to Monk that use stats that Monks dont.
Krivis is a great example; You get 2 main skills, Zalcai and Zaibas, but these 2 skills scale off of stats that are useless to Monks(SPR/INT).
If you want to run Bokor, you’d most likelywant to run atleast Bokor c2, for Mackangdal(that’s the only real reason to go Bokor imo,I dont think ithas good sinergy with Monk).
Example of classes that scale well with Monk are: Cleric,Priest and Dievdirby. Cleric’s main mechanic is healing, and Heals naturally scale off of %MHP,so there’s no reason to invest in INT for a better healing, while it also provides you with a great Safety Zone and Fade(it has many uses, but I wont get into detail).
Priest is a class that requires no stat investment to be effective. Monstrance i.e, is a great skill for Monks bc is increases your dex by 30% when used, whichis great for any physical class. It also offers alot of party support due to Mass Heal(that scales greatly off of %MHP), Blessing and Revive, that are overall great skills to have.
Diev is more of a dps approach, you’ll learn the Skill Carve, it deals 5 hits andhas 3 Overheat uses b4 it goes into the low 17s CD, it’s really strong and offers another type of weapon advantage since Carve is Pierce Type. It also offers statues that buff/debuff allies and enemies thatare withing its range, the later cycles of Diev gives you statues that Silences nearby enemies and even give to you and your allies damage invulnerability for 18+ seconds if you want to go all the way to c3. CarveOwl is also a really strong statue, even tho it doesnt scale with Str,it deals alot of dmg.

Yeah i figured, i literally just went through and played around with skills without looking at the stat boost or researching the class stats much. I will take another look at it thanks. The reason i went for Krivis was mainly because i liked the effect of aukuras and daino for the pvp aspect. HP recovery and a miss chance towards enemies seems incredibly strong.

You are really new. lol

Aukuras is not that useful because its AoE is not big enough. Most range attacker can avoid its debuff effect. And its recovery effect also too slow compare to Heal. I personally use Aukuras as attraction skill. It can allure Mobs around to walk into my Zaibas like insect jumb into fire. Only put 1 point into it is good enough to do the trick.

Daino is always good in party play. But as Monk, you might want to do as much damage as you can, not do too much on the support job. So it is not good on Monk.

Zalciai is the only thing that is worked for Monk. If you have it on you and your opponent, you can do critical a lot. But it still work the same if your teammate have it instead.

This is why we ask these questions lol, I’m still Cleric 1.

Here’s a monk build that goes Cleric C1 - Priest C3 - Monk C3

7 points free to spend as you like in the priest section, 5 in the monk. It’s up to you where you want to put them, personally if you want more damage add it all to blessing or if you wish to be more useful from a utility aspect max revive and the rest into ressurection. The five points in monk can go to whatever skill you want that isn’t maxed yet, would suggest double punch as its going to be your bread and butter damage source. Iron Skin is my personal preference, it reflects 125%(if you took the attribute, 100% if you didn’t) of MELEE physical damage for ~9 seconds. If you don’t like it that will make it 10 free skill points to throw into other offensive options.

Don’t really think Golden Bell is worth it, you stand still for 4 seconds to prevent all sources of damage. Not sure if you’re able to attack while immobilized … may be useful in a PvP situation but only if your (melee) opponent is dumb enough not to run off when he sees the bell pop.
