Telsiai server. Same map and channel but why is it that my lvl256 character is the only one experiencing lag and delay while the other one is smooth. I always experience this every 4pm until 12am (UTC+08:00). I don’t know if it’s internet problem or what. Please help.

So one character never lags but the other character lags…? That’s a very interesting problem and I’m not entirely sure what would cause that. Your internet isn’t going to discriminate against characters, it will lag no matter what you are playing.

It actually occurs to me with my second character (Archer). Even if my Archer was just walking, not attacking, the fps is much lower than my first character (Pyro). My archer has lower level than my Pyro though

it only occurs on the said time but when it’s 10pm-12am, at random, the ping magically turns to normal. i hope imc can see this post.

I would move this to the bug report section. IMC always looks at that forum every day. You can edit your post and move it there. Although they tend to have robotic copy paste replies =/

Is it just me or Adventure Journal seems to open w/o lag on fresh characters? Poorly coded char info syncronization may cause this.

I notice this too, maybe there are many items on high level character

i noticed it too. i just recently finished exploring maps on my high level character and whenever i talk to vibora the lag goes nuts while the low level character doesnt. :fearful:

That’s correct. The reason for this is that the journal data seems to be stored server side. Just like the map and a number of other things, it sends you the data again (for some reason it isnt kept client side for long) every time you login and open the journal.

It lags way more with a character that has more journal entries then a fresh character for this reason.

Honestly, 90% of the problems the game has would probably be solved if so much stuff wasnt server side…

soooo technically speaking whenever the game is full of players I’ll be experiencing lag on my high level character. that’s soooo sad. i should’ve been 280 by now because of this. i can only grind after 10pm at SEA time and when it’s 1am there’s less people playing or grinding, specially now that everyone is back to school in our country.

IMC’s logic: “Let’s make journal, map and other unimportant stuff server-side. And no proper checks for AoE attack area, movement speed, quests and other crucial stuff.”

You would reach an end game content to soon. Problem solved. It’s a feature, not a bug!
