So, I have found a rather inconvenient feature of using my Surface Pro 3 for testing.
You see, there’s no insert key on the type cover.
None.
Nada.
Way to go Microsoft.
AND, despite my past attempts to install key tweaking programs or to find other workarounds, most games refuse to recognize the changes.
So, when I realized that I would REALLY need that key if I wanted to rest or even sit for roleplaying…
I don’t know if I’m just overlooking it, but it would be nice to be able to remap some key functions to others, even just for the sake of convenience.

Have you tried modifying hotkeys.xml inside your ToS installation folder ?

If you wish to help other people with the same issue, please modify your first post and change the title as [RESOLVED] and accept post #2 as solution
Check for overlaps people. Don’t forget if you want Q to be something else then the Q hotkey slot. You need to remove that Q on the hotkey slot not just add it as something else.
So it’s good to keep updated OS reading each update before installing to avoid bugs. ‘-’
