Swordsman > Highlander > Barb > barb > barb > doppel > doppel
Highlander passively gives you extra crit damage with 2h swords, once you train the attribute for it.
Need your opinions.
Full STR or 2:1
What should i do better?
Don’t zig-zag stats. Put everything into strength until you have a decent amount, especially since you’re going barbarian, you get +50 crit from cleave.
After you’ve got a decent amount of strength, then go for dex for critical. It’s pointless to go dex early in the game, because you really need a lot of it to really start to crit. So it’s better to invest into strength early to establish your base damage, and then add crit on top of it, when your normal damage is decent.
That’s my doppel build that I’ll play at some point, currently leveling my corsair to be.
I don’t bother with swordsman attacking skills, they’re pointless, you don’t use them later on. Max pain barrier, it gets you few extra seconds of cc immunity, so you can freely whack a boss or whatever you’re doing for a bit longer.
Wagon Wheel or Cross guard, just make a choice. If you feel like you won’t be using cross guard, then go for wagon wheel.
I didn’t take helm chopper, but you can (especially if you pvp), it’s a good skill. I just don’t like loose ends in my builds and I like to have a clear rotation. There’s no point in having 289357 attacking skills, you won’t even get to use some on most bosses, they will die before it. I’ll tell you about the rotation I have in my mind at the end.
8 deeds of valor for the 100% uptime. Double pay earn for the leveling, you can later spec out of it and put those points elsewhere, finishing off deeds of valor or taking 2/5 redel or 2/10 mord.
So as I’ve said, I don’t like loose end skills and I want clear rotations in my builds. I’m playing only PvE, so keep that in mind too. Unbalanced PvP doesn’t interest me.
Let’s say that there’s a tough regular enemy, non-boss that can endure the whole combo, you would go.
Seism to stun, cleave for extra damage on stunned enemy and 50 crit proc, then zornhau to shock, followed by zucken on the shocked enemy for extra damage. Seism again, cleave, all the lower rank attacking skills. Then cyclone two times, after which all your other major skills should be coming back off cooldown soon.
In the case of a boss, just replace seism with cleave as an opener, since bosses can’t be stunned, so you can’t benefit from extra damage with cleave.
On the other hand, you can go c3 highlander and c1 barb (just to grab the 50 crit from cleave) or just go with some other fill class. I simply don’t like highlander, because it has waaaaaay too many attacking skills for my taste. If you’re into spamming various skills, then you can definitely go for it, it’s an overtuned class, so everything is a breeze with it.
Wow thank you for your detailed Guide.
I will try this out. I prefer PVE at the beginning too.
Maybe in some time i try PVP.
Thank you
