I am new to this companion thing but right now seems like a waste of money cause you cant ride it and he doesnt do any damage. Is thtis supposed to be like that or did I do something wrong help please

He wont do decent damage until you level him to be around your level, and you also need to train him at the pet merchant. It gets pretty costly :\
he is lvl 48 and still does 1 damage
you have to fight things near your companion’s level for it to be useful
Just got one and I have no idea where to level the little furrball. :<
I’m currently lvl 76.
Just ignore the fact that he is there and keep leveling as if he wasn’t, he will catch up. I was at the Mausoleum yesterday and I took my lvl 1 pet with me, he is now around 60.
i keep clicking on the pet. is there a way to turn off the clicking? it does nothing by clicking it anyways
My pet does 1 damage too, and pet’s of my friend does 400+ damage.

You need to train it at the pet master NPC.
if I train him will he attack right even if he is not as my lvl ? and btw will he eventually get to my lvl ?
I think the main point of companions is for making new characters, i just started a cleric and my lvl 65 pet was 1 shotting the bosses in the first few areas for me lol
Pet has to be around 10 lvls from the mob u want to kill to do dmg. If im not mistaken ofc.
Your pet has stats just like you do, guys. Train up it’s phys attack and level it, it’ll do damage.
