It’s been a good year now i believe, and my initial expression about the music in this game was great! however, it just didn’t stick with me. often times it makes me just want to turn it off or play RO music instead. Then i started thinking, why… but i can’t seem to think of a solid answer other then it seems theres a lack of variation in how music sounds, and the instruments being used. often times its either basic boring DJ beats or sad violins playing.
If you look at RO it seems to take some tracks from every culture and genre and managed to create the perfect ‘grind music’ that can be listened to over and over without ever getting on your nerves.
there has been a couple game devs in the past who went back on their music and improved on it , so hopefuly this feedback is helpful. i’m also interested to see the opinions of other players who have played this game atleast 3 months on and off. tell me how did it feel everytime to hear the tree of savior music again. was it a nostalgia blast, or was it simply something in the background you didnt pay much attention to?
