Murmillo is currently subpar compared to other rank 8 classes

Murmillo is strong in defense/tankiness, however this game doesn’t reward you much for being tanky. It rewards you more for the more damage you are able to pump out.

In PVE (ET - sustained AOE dps required):

  • Dragoon can do well with Hop 3 > Dopp > Goon 2 (Spear Throw spam + Serpentine + Dethrone)
  • Fencer can do well with AOE attack ratio gear
  • Doppel can do the best using cyclone/DoV

Murmillo struggles the most as its AOE dps over time is not as good as others.

In PVP:

It is pretty good if you’re geared - there are videos proving this.

HOWEVER

With the introduction of Miko being able to remove Cassia Crista helmet buff with Gohei, if the enemy team has a Miko it’s going to be a tough fight. Gohei has a 8 sec cooldown which is almost spammable.

They really need to make Murmillo’s helmet debuff unremovable by Miko’s Gohei. Make it an attribute or something instead of an active skill.

Can Gohei remove 2nd line buffs? eg. Running Shot

the sad thing about et is that most of your bursts can only be good bursts via rodelero debuff placement

monsters die very fast, the moment you are done placing debuffs like high kick/slithering they are dead or half dead. or worst you can’t hit all of them unless you put five hammer for debuffing.

fencers and doppels don’t even need to use coquille/cleave, they can go wild right away and still put up good consistent damage.

headbutt has some good uses which can flinch boss, I think this is where murmillo’s potential lies but it still provides little on dps check floors.

I don’t know. I only pve. it seems to not remove the blue sword atk icon on the siaulia bosses but it does remove the def buff on tree dude. I remember the forums saying that it removes all kinds of things in pvp, it seemed pretty op at the time.

if you play in klaipedia we can test it out if you have a miko or qs

Unfortunately I don’t play in klai nor I have a miko/qs.

I asked this because it would be a possibility to request IMC to move Cassia Crista to the 2nd line if Gohey can’t remove buffs from that line.

I play Murmillo as well.

i’m surprised that it is not a second line buff. swordsmen seem to already have enough issues with their buffs.

Miko buff remover messes up everyone lol.
Some Cleric builds need to be nerfed for sure.
For example Cleric2/Dievdirbys3/Oracle1/Kabbalist1/Inquisitor in PvP and Cleric2/Dievdirbys3/Miko or w.e/PlagueDoctor2 in PvE.

Earth Tower is a pretty bad dungeon design as with most of the other dungeons. I’m hoping they re-balance dungeons, and classes so they fit certain roles(tank, support, dps etc.) better.

Would be great if tanks could pull mobs as if using Hangman’s Knot, hold aggro better, and were needed more.

Hopefully they make swordsmen in general more useful. Currently its in that weird place “sometimes wanted, never needed.”

It removes all rank1 and 2 buffs (including second line) a.k.a all on this list https://tos.neet.tv/misc/buffs?lvlmin=1&lvlmax=2&type=Buff&f=1.
Plague doctor removes all buffs that are not rank 99. Both remove buffs from equipment like rhevisan % dark resistance and m ampli from animus ( but i did not test to see if it just remove the buff icon)

Dude, Murmillo is only in its first circle. Relax.
