Mouse control thank god

So now there is mouse control what are you guys thoughts about it…is it a good thing, bad thing or it doesn’t really matter.

Subtitles were added to the video.
Turn on the subtitles to watch with English subtitles.
You can also change the subtitle options from settings on the lower right side of the video.

I’m glad because now you can choose which enemy you want to target and not feel force to target the nearest enemy.

ill play it both… =D cause if i wana farm and just relax, ill have the option of using my game pad… mouse/keyboard controls are for chatting and serious killings and other stuff =3="

so i guess its a good thing to have both options

Mouse control is more recommended to long range fighters? I wonder about that. I’m going for swordsman branch and I prefer to use both mouse-keyboard usage while playing. Just a personal preference I guess.

Looks like a nice setup for me if i used direction keys to move and mouse to target.
I wonder if they will also provide some kind of option for cursor targeting via control pad. Hope so!

Because Swordsman class does not have skill that you need to drag to center with wasd expect Long Stride and Throwing Spear skills of hoplite.

Class or skills isnt a factor. Being able to use mouse to select target gives much finer control. I think a lot of ppl will use this method even if they are melee.

True true but I dont think Swordman skill works with mouse because they wouldnt say such a think at all. I think almost every swordman skill works like magnum break. You cannot target it to monster directly. You need only press skill button to launch it.

Lol “mash mash mash” with fist on keyboard… Haha, a friend on here is going swordie in the cbt. Hopefully we will get some good info from her soon! Or maybe she will keep it all secret @_@?

For the sake of reducing the feeling of being restricted in this game, I will be reducing my flexibility of control by using a controller where applicable.

(I have no idea. Just go with it)

Controller! Lazy mode trumps pinpoint accuracy every time! Fall asleep on lounge(power nap)>wake up,wipe off drool>find where controller went on floor>pick up, gtg again XD.

I’m fine with keyboard, but as mentioned before in other forum, I will also try to play a bit with a steering wheel.

ofc mouse, like in RO
mmorpg without mouse is weird

Mouse-controls.
Increased flexibility in exchange for possible misclicks.

I prefer playing this game with mouse since I’m a mouse guy. Hahahha I’m not used to playing games using only keyboard. Best of luck to us mouse lovers

Has there been a tutorial vid on how the gamepad will work with the game?

Not a tutorial video but I played with gamepad in this videos:

Skills are used by pressing L1/L2/R1/R2/L1+R2 + A/B/X/Y. You can see that the Gamepad UI automatically actives once you use it (after the loading screen a few seconds after the video starts it resets back to keyboard until I move with the gamepad). This is beceause the UI mode was set to auto. You can also set it to something fixed.

There are 2 Sets (switched with L2+R2) so you can have 2 x 5 x 4 skills in you quick bar.

XBox Gamepad worked plug & play without any additional configuration.

Nice! Looking forward to play this when I buy a gamepad.

Definitely useful for archer classes. Now you can move while aiming for that skill shot skill. Previously you had to stop moving because the moving button WAS the button used to aim with.

Hi there! Can you suggest a good gamepad for a laptop? thanks

If your laptop has bluetooth, then the latest xBox controller is pretty much plug and play and good quality. If no bluetooth, you will still be able to use it wired (you willl need the cord to charge it anyway) xBox controller is basically microsoft/windows default controller. You will just need to let windows do an automated driver install upon first using the controller. Then u good to go.
