all swordsman class.

RandyBK is the most efficient farming class.

All jokes aside, there is a reason why most bots are chaplains or sorcerers. IMO, cleric is by far the better choice since you mentioned dungeons/missions as well.

While I don’t know if it is actually true, lately it feels like there is a shortage of clerics running dungeons and missions. I can only assume because most were in limbo in anticipation of the cleric rank 8 announcements and the current archer/wizard metas. You can run a dungeon/mission without a ‘tank’, but running one without a healer is hell. Especially if you are said ‘tank’.

People are under the illusion that the traditional tank exists in this game, therefore tanks are unrealistically expected to soak up all damage and if you lose aggro, you are bad.com. Regardless of your build or your original intentions when you created your character. The community seems to fully expect you to spend 30k in potions just so they can get in a full dungeon run, meanwhile when they run out of sp, they will sit down in a group and wait until someone else puts down a damn bonfire. That is our ToS community.

Speaking from own experience, I would not make a swordsman to be my silver ‘farmer’. Swordsmen in this game are probably the most expensive of the 4 starting archtypes to maintain. My archer I mostly repair my weapon and offhand, I can’t remember the last time I had to repair my armor. My wizard and cleric I have only had to repair the offhand for some reason, maybe because I don’t autoattack? But my swordsmen, all 4 of them, has to repair everything and since they are melee, they cannot get away with skimping on equipment. Armor has to be kept recent and top of the line, and weapons are even more important. And the potions, my god, the potions. Archer and wiz need hp pots only if you mess up. Clerics don’t need to carry many, maybe 5 for extreme emergencies. Swordsmen always need to carry them, and in quantity because hp regen is not enough and attrition will ensure that you can’t go long periods without one.

Cleric don’t need hp potions at all, and some builds dont even require you to carry sp potions. They all have some form of healing since cleric is the base class and for most a level 15 armor set will carry you into the 200+ level range.

I think the most important thing is to decide how you want to farm. Field AOE farming, I would pick a wizard. You can’t really ‘farm’ dungeons and missions since there is a limit, but if you don’t want to experience hell, I would use a cleric for that. At least until this current archer/wizard meta is over.

You mean Peltasta C3

I do more than ok solo-farming bees. Trot + Swash + Earth Wave + Doom Blade, run from zone 1 to zone 2, repeat, when I’m back bees are just respawning.

It’s tiring but extremely efficient, you don’t miss bees, barely get hit, clear them all from both zones and they’re never idly waiting since you catch them at respawn. Also, you don’t need very good stats for it and even the exp is good from 156 to 170.
