I just read a review on Steam from some “Kami” guy that I agree almost completely, IMC should read this, cause this kind of reviews will make people don’t want to try this game.

Some of the negatives the guy has listed are really…not negative at all. He does have some good points listed, but others are kind of meh. For example:
Collections can be complicated. You must first find a hidden chest (if
there is one) in the Area you are to start a collection. Then you must
collect misc material drops which can include rare accessory’s and armor
or weapons. Additionally, you must take the collection crate to allow
the collection to an NPC in town. To complete the collection you need to
put the items in the collection vendor which consumes them.
That’s the point of a collection system. It’s supposed to be difficult to complete. If it was easy, it wouldn’t be interesting.
Specific class restricted crafting.
Class diversity is a good game mechanic…
You must talk to a specific TP Cash Shop vendor to buy TP items. you
need to plan ahead or risk needing to teleport back if you want to grab
an item (Soul Stone, EXP tome, etc)z
This is fairly standard in MMOs…NPC vendors sell items, thus you interact with NPC vendors…
I agree with you on that one, I probably didn’t read that.
About the TP Cash Shop, the crafting stuff and the dungeon limit, I can understand that some people don’t like the system. I don’t care about that myself, but I can understand it.
Those things are not that important. They need to focus about the other stuff that this guy said. The guild master restriction (being a templar), the trade restriction, the buff limits, etc. Those things are just stupid.
the author listed those things under cons, which doesn’t mean negative in itself, just a disadvantage aka not easy, which you have already emphasized.
@topic
I’d have to say, I’ve read more or less a hundred reviews from steam, this one is probably one of the easier to read but not exactly original (meaning other reviewers have said the same things only that they were wordier IMO)
the review was fair provided the list, and as much as I’d want this game to improve and for more of my gamer friends to play, I would understand if they’d be discouraged, not just because of such reviews, but by simply learning about the basic mechanics of the game itself.
reviews are opinions, and there’s no such thing as “accurate opinions”
Yeah overall I will agree it was a fair review overall
I actually don’t mind a templar being the only one that can make guilds, since it kind of does require dedication to make one, so I praise those who went for templars.
agree on the dedication part. I think though it was listed as a con because you basically have no choice but level a templar if you want to put up a guild. if your gameplay preference leans towards mage types it’s kind of a stumble in enjoyment, don’t you think?
Yup, that’s the review that everyone reads on Steam, once you follow the almighty reviewer requests, well some of them the steam rating would change.
Tbh, all classes that aren’t Templars are screwed when it comes to guild creation, I mean I for one wants to make an all mage guild x) but oh well.
but yeah, all the guilds that will pop out from this game will be a good one since you need dedication for it.
hm…TBH I also find it a con that we can’t have freedom in putting up a guild even just for funsies. RO has that feature, and I liked how I gave titles to friends/guildmates for the heck of it, other than that it helps with farming having buffs etc. not everyone likes PvP anyway
