Well you won’t really have much of a headstart because the F2P players will not be playing on the Founder’s servers. Basically, you should imagine the Founder’s server as a closed beta server really…
I think I would have rather just brought the collectors edition they had in Korea a week of early access and called it good…
To their credit though… And it’s not worth much cause I think just not telling people probably pisses them off less. But a lots of games have started out buy to play then went F2P a few months later… ESO comes to mind as the most recent.
Agreed, they’d have less of an outrage, and probably more sales.
Gotta love all the professional F2P game publishers that show up out of the woodwork every time a game announces its release/cash shop decisions.

No. A bunch of entitled children are throwing temper tantrums. Majority of the playerbase? Please. Forums aren’t even visited by 10% of a game’s playerbase, and the ones who actually comment are <1%. Yes, the most vocal whiners are grouping up and trying to make this seem like a big deal when it’s not. The game will be fine with or without your support, and regardless of whether the majority of the forums agrees with their decisions.

I’ve been doing Customer Service and Sales for years and I can tell you that IMC is straight up disrespectful.
First thing in a business that heavily depends on the community to survive is COMMUNICATION. Building a relationship with your targeted customers/members makes us comfortable and is PROVEN to make us actually want to spend more.
Do you think it’s nice to leave a customer in a store asking questions about a product and give them no answer. Weeks later you show them the prices and STILL not communicate with them.
So ya IMC is a professional business and $50 may not be a lot of money, but that doesn’t mean they’re a good business and deserve that money. It’s about principles, respect and our so called value to them.

feels like they’re not very confident in this game? because, if they were, they’d have faith in MTX adding up to more than this blatant cash grab. league/path of exile/etc have been the expected MMO model, especially for niche games
The moment you start calling a playerbase entitled, it’s hard to take you seriously at all. A 3 month beta OBT that can only be accessed behind a 50 dollar paywall is retarded regardless of how you phrase it.
I like the mechanics of the game, I would have played the game, hell chances are I would even have made microtransactions and ■■■■. Don’t think this makes me dumb enough to bother with it when the game is blatantly milking the consumers when there are other games that don’t to this extent.
MMOs are a competitive market, and IMC pulling this ■■■■ means that it’s going to lose players because of it. Don’t pretend like it’s a “success no matter what”, because this is the sort of thing that makes the majority of possible players shy away from it.

Unless they’re offering xfers off the server. When the game goes F2P you’re going to have to rope in friends that didn’t want to pay to join your server. And even if there will be xfers the economy is going to be 3 months developed…
I’m having flash backs to FF11 had when they first let in English countries onto the JP server. English players couldn’t afford the food, crafting, any of that. We were looked down upon because we didn’t have the money to pay for the very strong food buffs or decent equipment. I imagine that’s what it’s going to feel like for all the F2P players. And well that wasn’t a nice feeling. It took us a hell of a long time to catch up and way the hell more work to claw our way into the economy.

probably everyone could be ok with the 50/30 bucks milking as it gives some TP to pay the vip status for a while.
i also dislike the lack of information about server location, as its called “english version” i assume the server is in london? (just playing dumb here with this question)
More like cause they don’t want to get fired. They’re going to take time to gauge responses then decide what they want to say. Or if they want to at all I suppose.
They could have surveyed us back in beta for things like this though… Asked us what we thought… Pretty much everyone else does now adays.
I remember overwatch beta they just asked players straight away. Questions like you going to play this game if it has gacha boxes for cosmetics? Payment models shouldn’t be a closed discussion and the best way to get opinions without just sifting through shitty rage posts is surveying beta players. You may only be getting beta participant responses… But it at least it will give you a clearer idea of how people will react to things. More then reading forum responses at least.

3Months is too much but I feel that there should be early access for founders like B&S so that those who pay initially to support the game don’t get subjected to the crappy clustered maps when the server launches for F2P
I don’t mind paying $50 for Early Access to test their game for 3 months. I hope they will wipe all data and rehype the game again and also give at least 1 week headstart for beta tester OR maybe some good stuff in game. 
They confirmed that there will be no wipe. Enjoy your P2W.
