Guys…
What’s up with the fields that appear once you cast ‘Monstrance’?
As soon as I walk into them, they disappear.
What’s the purpose of them?
Cheers,

If a non-party member steps on them, they get the DEX buff and make the circle disappear. If a monster steps on them, the circles won’t disappear, but they get the defense/evasion debuff.
Wow, thanks for clearing that up. I always thought that the Monstrance icon (displayed next to your HP/SP bar) would indicate that the skill is already active, since it also appeared on the HP/SP bar of my party member who I’m playing with.
I think there is some work needed on this skill. Yes, Monstrance is applied to you and your party members as soon as it is cast. Non-party members get it, if they step on the circle. Sadly, circle also disappears if you/your party member step on it, without any benefit.
Yeah, I noticed that too. It’s very strange.
To be honest, I’d prefer the skill to apply to you and your party members immediately after casting the skill without the need for them to step on one of those fields.
You don’t need to step on it for the buff to be active, that’s the good part. As soon as you cast it, your party gets the +DEX buff, without anybody needing to walk on it.
But the tricky part is that mobs won’t be debuffed -DEF/EVA unless they step on it.
Now, as soon as a mob or someone steps on it, it will disappear (if it’s someone from your party that stepped on it, they won’t get debuffed of course). But the debuff effect on the mob will last until it naturally wears off (after 20 seconds).
I think that if the party buff wears off with the field still on the ground, you can step on it to get another buff. Not 100% sure on this. Was always too lazy to check. lol
Does monstrance have a soft taunt like Diev’s statues?
No. It is a circle similar to deprotected zone.
