Monstrance lasts as a buff or debuff for 20 seconds (25 with atribbute). You cast 1 circle per skill level, meaning level 15 = 15 circles. But it’s pretty pointless getting too many circles. The debuff won’t stack (only one circle counts) and the random area placement for circles is too small to make it worth getting the skill anything past level 5.
The skill also has a hidden cast animation time that increases substantially as skill level goes up. At level 15, you take about 4 seconds to cast it (which you cannot choose to cancel), but you will get interrupted in mid cast if something attacks you (making skill cancel and enter cooldown).
Getting more circles just means increasing your skill AoE but up to a certain point where circles will start overlapping eachother too much and become pointless getting the skill any higher.
The circles are also visually buggy and will disappear if any ally comes in contact with them (and buff them with monstrance again but ONLY if they don’t already have the buff up, the buff won’t refresh it’s duration if they already have it even if on only 2 seconds remaining duration). But even if they disappear, their effect remains in place (meaning mobs will still get debuffed by now invisible circles)
Overall: buggy, horrible skill. Some people argue about the 1.3x (or was it 1.2x) dex increase, but I think it’s a complete waste of skill points myself (I don’t have patience to keep re-buffing a 25 duration buff). The def and evasion debuffs are garbage if you take into consideration the skill’s hard to use mechanic, SPR necessity for scaling, and long cooldown that doesn’t allow you to use it against every mob you fight (seriously, it’s just a def debuff in PvM, why is the cooldown not something like 3 seconds?).
