Monsters running away

This happens on every map. Hardware isnt important. Control mode isnt important.

So, when you attack mobs they often run aways before you can kill them. This is annoying. VERY annoying. Especially if you play a sadhu that relies on Fade + Out of Body.

Please, fix this.

If they were scared they wouldnt come running back a few seconds later. Its just dumb.

They lure you into even more monsters. Also running away works fine for mobs that put “Death Sentence” on you. :smirk:

Okay, lets stop the joking please.
So, I am on the map called “pilgrim Path” right now and tehre is a quest that wants you to kill monsters around a chest. The monsters rarely spawn around the chest…so you want to aggro em and kill em at the chest…but they run away. Its dumb and really annoying.

Ask for help from any pyro/linker: they put fireball near chest and then link and pull mobs into the zone.

sometimes it annoying, but can say that i like this feature. it brings diversity because monsters are too dumb. u train them, kill them, repeat… like robot.
strong monsters usually don’t running away, but some my skills have stunlock, so it little easier.

This is extremely annoing thing for melee class.

I mean yeah it does get pretty annoying at times but I dont think its too big of a deal. Dont think this is a bug. But im not 100% certain.

Ever played a sadhu? You can fade (monster looses aggro at u and wont target u) but u can use Out of Body to attack mobs. Out of Bodys distance is limited…so, yeah, mobs run away and u wasted time and SP…its just annoying…nothing more

The funny thing is:
I like to use “mouse mode” to play, just clicking on the monster.
When the monster run away your character continue to punch the air right?

Well I clicked on the monster and get myself out of the pc on the same time, to take some juice, when I was back the character was there puching the air because the monster ran away, and other player started to threaten me of denounce as a BOT when he saw I was not AFK.

I dont give a fu##, but I already saw numerous reports for things like that, so its funny.

my spells ground based - when mobs running out, i must waiting full cooldown. but this funny.

They probably forgot to turn off the gas on their stoves, that’s why they come back after running out of screen for a bit. :grin:

In all seriousness, this is extremely annoying for melee classes - especially cleric based ones. The way (which only works on grounded enemies) I use to try and counteract it is: place heals (works better if it’s 10 squares instead of 5) forming a / or /\ behind the monster’s back. That way, when it runs on low HP, it will probably bump into one of your heals and die. Then you lure the next one/ones to the area and repeat the process until your heals disappear. You’ll probably be KS’ed a million times before you get the hang of placement, but that’s life.

If you’re a krivis, you can also place Zaibas at the middle of the /\ so everything is covered and running monsters will meet either a shocking doom or explode from pink squares. :grin:
