Monks Would Look Cooler without Mace/Shield

So I was watching some clips of Monk skills on a wiki. I’ve always thought Monk classes were cool, and I like it’s skill animations, but am I the only person that thinks it’s strange that martial art’s class that uses bare handed skills runs around with a Mace and Shield? xD.

It just throws me off when they go to use an attack and suddenly their weapons vanish and they’er suddenly empty handed.

I think it would be cool if they got some cool looking fist weapons instead :). Just random thoughts xD. Maybe the dev’s will add this in the future or something.

look on Ragnarok’s monk.

it’s so ■■■■■■■ cool that nobody can deny the temptation on making monk.
you see ragnarok’s monk skills basically combos with one another. making it a super long combo of skills. skill 2 can only be used after skil 1 and so on and so forth.
with a finishing touch of Ashura Strike which basically is a one punch man punch lol.

man i miss RO’s Monk. if only they use the same system here monk would be my very first class.

Don’t forget to keep up your Spirit Spheres. I still am saddend by the day they nerfed the “pewpew” Spiritexplosion build sigh

OT: Yup, I am still amazed that so many companys seem to kind of missing that. IMO every game that implemenets Monk’s as a Martialarts unarmed class(focus on unarmed as there are a lot of weaponmasters among monks, the video above goes for show) Should give the class high MALI like minus dmg accuracy etc. when using the skills with a weapon. Pretty much the same way as the class is handled in D&D,DSA,Pathfinder etc. That way you would play the class like most classes, with 2 weapon sets one Being the Weapon+whatever for your other classskills in the build and one being empty so you can use your unarmed Monk skills.
Of course the class should have sufficient passives to supplement the loss of stats when dequipping weapons completly, but only keeping those passievs active while they are literally unarmed. Just my 2 cents :slight_smile:

I like it better when monks use their fists or the more eccentric weapons as well!

don’t forget how Ragnarok solves this problem.
ragnarok put a Knuckle into the game. ah good old ragnarok monk with knuckles.

Yeah! I mean, obviously Monks in real life learn to use a variety of weapons. But it’s just weird that every single one of the Monks skills in this game is a bare handed skill that causes the weapons to totally vanish when the skill is activated. It’s like, “Let me drops everything on the ground really quick, punch this guy, then pick everything back up” lol.

I definitely think they would look much better with some bad ass gauntlets, or something, lol.

Also, I like the idea of chaining their attacks into cool combos. I liked that about Monks in RO as well :).

just add a knuckle based weapon to the game and when you pick monk you unlock it.

all I can think off if I ever got into a fight and it was with one of them I would simply just say “I QUIT NO NO NO I AM OUT”
