Monk with Paladin is a good choice?

I was thinking in create a Monk, what are the best options to level up solo? I want to take Paladin, but idk if its a good choice, can anyone help me building a monk using paladin?

not a monk player but as a paladin player, you might want the class for the SP regen from restoration and magic defense buff. Smite is negligible since you will be primarily using double punch as a monk. DP uses stamina.

but if you want damage go priest c3 instead for lvl 15 blessing and lvl 10 sacrament.

But i want to build a Monk using paladin if possible, so could i use Cleric C1 > Priest C2 > Paladin C1 > Monk C2? if yes, do you have any idea of skills/stats? I want something tanky that i can use to solo most of the time.

Both Cleric > Priest 2 > Paladin > Monk and Cleric > Priest 3 > Monk will work.

Cleric > Priest 3 > Monk is probably better overall however. Priest 3 gets some really strong buffs both for group and solo play. Personally I don’t really like Paladin as a 1 rank class, but that’s just me.

It’s fine.

The damage from priest 3 is negligible, and while stone skin is quite good it’s not foolproof and has 25seconds downtime. You shouldn’t need it to survive, but squishier party members might.
Priest 3 does offer better scaling on your buffs though, which can be very nice. (not on aspersion, the dex doesn’t scale with skill level…)
That being said priest 3 suffers from the 5 buff limit, meaning you often have to ignore several buffs because they’ll overwrite existing ones. (aspersion esp tends to lose out vs stone skin, despite having no down time)

With paladin i would not underestimate resist elements, it’s a very powerful defensive buffs vs elemental dmg.
And restoration is a very nice bonus, especially considering it is a aura and does not overwrite buffs. And you get to use aspersion with such a build.
Though even priest2/paladin has to be wary of the 5 buff limit.

Personally i prefer priest2/krivis for daino’s +5 buff limit and zalciai’s improved damage. But it’s not as defensive as the two options above. And like you said you wanted tanky. (though agro is going to be annoying for clerics)

Resurrect2 for the revive attribute, revive and mass heal at 3 should be sufficient.
Max Blessing for the 100 hits, should cover all builds for the next 45 seconds.
Sacrament 1 because it scales horribly, and monks shouldn’t auto atk much anyway.
Ignored iron skin/golden bell because they’re buffs, short duration, long cd and channel skills.
1 in knife hand for the defense lowering attribute + shield break. Palm strike outdamages it anyway, despite it not having the deprotected zone combo.

Stat wise:
A dex/str hybrid is your best shot imo, unless you pick krivis, but i’m still not sure about the best ratio. Might want to do some testing on your own to see what you’re comfortable with. (stat reset scrolls are at the item vendor)

My paladin is 117, and I regret not going Priest 3. It might be because I got lucky and obtained Arde Dagger, but just spamming autos seem to do nearly as much damage as casting smites. The Restoration aura is also useless once you enter combat.

Looking back, better Sacrament and Blessing seems so much better.
