Monk feedback [lvl 177]

Watching videos to learn how other people use energy blast might not be as valid a suggestion anymore as the knockback/control portion of the skill has been removed. (As I understand from the translated patch notes at least…)

Besides there’s nothing wrong with experimenting and learning by yourself - even less so if they’re already pushing the game controls and character/skill mechanics/themselves to the limit. When you discover for yourself there is a tendency to gain understanding while when you simply watch others there is a tendency to only gain situational knowledge. Either way, knowing how yourself and how others act is half the fun of any “worthwhile” pvp.

When someone claims a skill is bad because ‘you can’t hit with it’, however there are pvp videos of Monks constantly hitting with it, it kinda makes me distrust in the poster’s ability to use the skill correctly.

Yeah no. That is why I suggested they watch pvp videos of people HITTING with the skill, since they need to learn things.

Can anybody tell me: Is “Sacrament” and “Blessing” working with “Double Punch” ??

P.S.: sorry for my english

Sacrament has 2 components. Bonus hit and bonus damage. Bonus damage works, bonus hit does not.

Blessing works twice for +340 (15/15 blessing, 50/50 attribute) damage per double hit. It’s really good.

I really don’t like this argument. As a Priest C3 your main job is to keep blessing up on the party at all times. +40 damage may not be one in one hit, but in thousands of hits that take place throughout dungeon? That +40 damage is pretty big. To analyze it against a 40 damage lower blessing, 170 / 130 = 30%. You are losing 30% of blessing’s effectiveness by not maxing it. A 15 hit fireball just lost 600 damage (per target). Your level 5 cure just lost 720 damage. Etc. Let me know when 600, 720 damage become irrelevant because it hasn’t yet. Smite is conditional. Not demon or mutant? Worthless. Blessing is always good in all circumstances.

As for krivis, you don’t want to put points in int as a monk. Str is the stat that scales the best with your bleeds and all attacks. 2 Zaibas may seem like a lot of damage for you, but keep in mind that it is ONLY for you. +40 blessing damage is for the entire party.

Further more a level 10 mass heal is significantly stronger than level 5. 10% hp + 185. That’s huge.

A max level sacrament is +16 property damage above level 5. 288 more damage on your cure. 32 more damage per double punch. 48 more damage per z attack (assuming cafrisun). All doubled against enemies weak to holy (there’s quite a few of these). Applies across the party.

If you want to maximize your damage, then going priest C3 is a great suggestion. 1 point exorcise is a very nice single target nuke if it doesn’t get resisted, even without int. Also as a holy element, also doubled against dark enemies. Also takes advantage of your extra property and bonus damage from sacrament and bless.

Exorcise also puts a debuff on the enemy so it is +2 secs to incinerate.

You didn’t read the whole topic didn’t you? Last month we basically discuss the pros and cons about full DPS Monk vs hybrid ones. Priest C3 has pros and cons, no one forced other player but we specifically talk how other class helping Monk depending on the roles…

This is Monk topic, not Priest C3+Chaplain topic…

Don’t need to read the topic to comment on bad info.

Then you basically add unnecessary opinion, especially if you want to supporting party you shouldn’t make a Monk at all…

I took this series of screenshots a month ago to explain how damage stacking works in this game:

Priest 3 is not only about party support

Sacrament and blessing scales too poorly to justify choosing priest c3 over diev c2. With diev c2, you gain a wider support aoe, silence and -movespeed.

Exactly you can just fit roles as long it works, Priest C3 is one way but not only way to build a Monk and someone doing 900 damage is impressive while sacrificing 1 Priest circle to deal 4 digits damage from other class is something else lol

Lots of great info here.

I’m really starting to consider if it’s even worthwhile to go a full support build (something like Cleric C3, Priest C3, Champlain, Plague Doctor). Even if the dps does suck, a monk or paladin strength build is getting really tempting, especially if I can still bring all the support/healing a group needs.
