im at diev c1
someone said that i should take c3 monk instead of pd bcuz it increases one inch and energys damage b y alot, i really want to go pd though D:.
so should i go pd or monk?
if i go pd, wil monks damage still be good late game (at rank 7)? or will monks damage fall off? how does monk c2 compare to c3?
overall i want to go pd but ill take monk c3 if i have to.
Monk damage C2 compared to C3 is literally crap. If you want to go plague doctor use a magic based route. That build will serve you much better in the late game that a heavily gimped Monk into PD.
PS, this is coming from someone who actually has access to C3 Monk an has been able to test these things. Not someone just assuming C2 is roughly similar to C3 based off no experience.
There’s nothing wrong going Pdoc. In fact, it is one of the alternative path when you’re a monk.
I mean, you get a lot of healing stuff and some annoying spells for the enemy.
You’re still good in the damage department even though you’re a c2 monk. You’re just sacrificing power for more healing stuff.
So, just go Pdoc if you really want.
ok, the support will rreally help leate game. and on bosses i can use all of my debuufs then incinerate (considering incinerate deals a lot of dmg even with no porints in int, like carve and carve owl) plus when lama comes out it will synergize with monk so i guess going pd wont be much of a dmg loss.
It’s a huge damage loss the mathematics behind it is rather basic to anyone with common sense.
You’re welcome to think it’s similar damage of course. But it isn’t even close.
Circle 2, One Inch Punch = 13250/ Circle 3, One Inch Punch = 31275 Damage.
Circle 2, Energy Blast = 3600/ Circle 3, Energy Blast = 11450 Damage.
Those are the two best skills of Monk outside of Double Punch which you spam instead of a normal attack (which is also weaker).
If you think Incinerate a magic based attack on a physical focused character will make up that damage shortfall. I have a bridge to sell you.
well idc about the dmg oss, i just want it to do good damage end game, like
ex:
monk c3 can overkill everyhting
monk c2 canont overkil everything but still can killt hings fast]
(not real just example)
like i just want to be able to kill things fast (or atleast almost as fast as archer classes)
idc if i can do wayy more dmg, (that just helps for boss fights and pvp, but mostly ur not in a boss fith or pvp)
Content after 220 gets vastly harder, you’ll want all the damage you can get if you want to be useful in grinding teams & not just a drag with your pointless support skills.
Full support characters are basically useless in the zones I’m currently levelling. I can support a full team just as well. But have vastly more damage to help out the team instead.
An when you’re fighting over mobs with a massive amount of health. Trying to get over 50% damage so that your team is credited with the kill. Nobody is going to give a ■■■■ about your extra unneeded healing ability.
Do what you want, but as a level 230 Monk currently levelling in high end zones. I’m telling you circle 2 Monk is crap damage compared to circle 3. An damage is basically the most important metric at this point in the game.
An healing as long as you have enough (which you already do with just Priest 3) is basically redundant after that.
well with lama coming out, it will give me more dmg skills… plus i like pd, i think incineration might deal alot of dmg
Sigh… Go plague doctor then, but do it from a magic based Cleric an ditch Monk.
That or enjoy a crap character heavily gimped outside of PvP.
is not going c3 really that bad? right now ur the only person thagts told me that, if more ppl say not going c3 is terrible i kight just not go pdoc, i mean, im going it on my sadhu build anyway
I’m not saying don’t go a Plague Doctor, I’m saying don’t go a Monk based Plague Doctor an expect the character to be good outside of PvP.
If you want to go a Plague Doctor do it from a Magic based Cleric build an it will definitely be a viable choice. It’s just not for Monk in PvE if you want decent damage.
