Okay that makes more sense now. Animation canceling still seems like it would get annoying to do consistently and constantly though.
Yeah, I mean thatās what they were talking about with fatigue. Sorry to keep bringing it up, but this is used in dota as a way to get the leading edge early on, when default attacking is slow enough to warrant the effort to increase its speed. Once you get to a point where youāre attacking incredibly fast automatically, itās much less needed / reserved for special situations. I feel like this applies to ToS, as Iām sure Iāll practice animation cancelling at a low level, when a) itāll be easy and there is room for error, and b) it will actually be a huge help. However, later on, when Iām dodging huge mobs Iām just gonna run and gun as fast as I automatically do (which will be a decent pace in its own right). Iāll focus on animation cancelling if Iām in a party fighting a boss, where Iām safe to do it and DPS is more of an issue.
A delay in jumping sounds pretty weird. Itās like lagging. The stamina as mentioned above is more viable.
Itās a delay to cast jump again. More like a cooldown on jump, rather than a delay to jump after you press the button.
Sry, my bad.
jump cooldown?? wwww
My bad, I thought of something else xD Perhaps the cooldown should have been mentioned. Iām fine with that.
Thereās a lot of animation canceling in RO, too⦠And seems similar to knowing when to recast a spell when your cast bar is filled up to a certain percent for a slightly quicker recast like in WoW and other games. I think itās kind of a cool thing to add in for people to practice and perfect to increase their damage. But it does seem a bit unfair for classes with long-range, high-damage auto attacks, haha.
It wasnt planned to make them āeasierā so players could explore, it was just a bug. In order to make players explore more they added exp bonus x8. I saw some high lvl quests that didnt seemed so easy.
The game is at its firsts steps, so it will change a lot when it recieves feedback from its community.
I wouldnāt mind animation cancelling but it just looks bizarre and unappealing to watch. If they build the game with the difficulty being tuned to those who animation cancel, everyone will have to do it if they want to do well. I donāt really want that in the game, personally.
