Missing tos.exe /Game won't start

Hi, I wanted to play again after a long time. I patched the game and after that it was telling me the launcher has been updated and I should restart the game. Now Steam tells me that the tos.exe is missing.

So I:

1. Disabled my antivirus and firewall before running the game.
   Nothing changed

2. I run ToS from the patch folder.
   There are only “.ipf” files. Nothing else.

3. Run ToS as administrator.
   Still after repairing and even switching the installation folder there is no exe. Only the Client_tos.exe in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release”

4. Run tos.exe.temp as tos.exe.
   There is no such file

Well… as you might imagine, is there any possibility to get the game running?

Only disabling don’t work, some AVs think the game is a virus or some malicious software, add the folder TreeOfSavior to the AV exception list.

Also do a full system scan to make sure you are clean.

Additional step, verify the game integrity on Steam:

I run ToS from the patch folder.

There are only “.ipf” files. Nothing else.

The folder TreeOfSavior\Patch only contain ipf files.

The ToS.exe is in the folder TreeOfSavior\release\patch.

Run tos.exe.temp as tos.exe.

There is no such file

You can’t execute a temp file, if the file is not 0 bytes, rename tos.temp to tos.exe.

Don’t rename Client_tos.exe to tos.exe because they have different functions.
