Mini Silver Farm/Test guide for Low-Mid Levels(Lv 150s) (pending)

Hi all!
Just a mini research and testing guide for people who are wondering on places to farm silver at around the low-mid lvl range(lvl 150s) OR if you are high lvl but want to farm anyways, results will vary based on kill speed and KEEP IN MIND THAT a higher lvl character will find it easier to get similar results to mine than a lower lvl character:

Map: Demon Prison District 2
Test Duration: 10 min
Starting silver in inventory: 0
Buffs: No Pardoner buffs or Wep enchants
Build: Elememe (W3Ele3WL2)
Lvl: 330

  • After 10 mins of farming there, a total of 102,779 PURE SILVER is dropped. Item drops after 10 mins:

  • Skirmisher Pants Recipe x 14 (sold for 1,950 at npc) So 1,950 x 14 = 27,300

  • Harugal Leather x 3 (worth 40k-100k each at AH/Market) So 40,000 x 3 = 120,000 (using smallest value for test purposes)

  • Harugal Bones x 12 (negligable, these arent worth anything basically)

  • Lv 2 Red Gem x 16 (these give 300 gem exp each)
For the purposes of easier value judgement i’ll use the value of a lvl 5 red gem which goes for 300,000 on AH/Market; To get to lv 5 Red gem from Lv 2 red gem, you would need 14,400 gem exp. So 14,400/330 = 48. Therefore you would require 48 lv 2 red gems to gain 300k or 300,000. In 10 mins you get 16 lvl 2 red gems, thus one third of the total requirement, or if u calculate, equals to 100k or 100,000

TOTAL SILVER GAINED (ALL IN): 102,779 + 27,300 + 120,000 + 100,000 = 350,079 or roughly 350k silver per 10 mins.

Notes of importance(?) :

  • With the combat update patches, more mobs with special prefixes are spawning now such as the big orange versions of the mob, they tend to give more drops/silver which is good.

  • I actually got a Nuka gem within the 10 mins, but im not counting that in as it wouldn’t be realistic.

  • I am using a lvl 330 Elememe (W3,Ele3,WL2) when testing this, so if u are lower lvls, please remember you will be finding it more difficult to kill the mobs en masse in comparison to a higher lvl person.

  • Also; Everything more or less depends on ur kill speed, the faster u can kill/aoe the more u will get within the 10 mins period ofc.

  • Everything is subject to a little variance. All prices for items on AH/Market are based on Klaipeda Server,
Remember about Tax Prices for listed items on AH, so you will get a little less silver than what u were listing it for.

End Note:
There are 4 zones in the main map; when i did the test, there was 2 or 3 other AFK sorc/necros on the other zones so i was more or less in 1 zone and walked out abit to middle path in my rotations

The place is infested with bots so youll get close to nothing if you did the farming there. Even killing quests mob is very hard let alone farm.

Using warlock as test also dont count because lvl 150 new players will be using weak weapons and weak skills.

I dont know if you can sell harugal leather fast. After hours of farming youll probably get 20+, which i think is very hard to sell in the auction.

Maybe good if there are no botters.

Hm, i might try this when im not lazy, ive just been farming lvl 50 dungeon, only rushing boss.

Boss card pays back the money i spent rerolling, gold bar/silver bar/sapphire/opal are my profits, used to be five hammers too, but those dropped in price ever since rebalance updatee

you forgot the 10-30% tax

When i was testing, there was 2 or 3 afk necro sorcs in each of the other zones, so i was using just 1 of the zones and middle section in my rotations.

When i am testing i was indeed using a warlock but it was meant to also show high lvl players who decide to farm that location that it is possible as well. ofc lower lvls will get a lower result due to kill speed and certain variances as i have already acknowledged this, however this is just a test / research for silver farming spots for players.

In Klaipeda server, harugal leathers tend to sell quite fast in the 50-60k zone. at least i always seem to sell it within half a day to a day

Perhaps i should change the name of the post to (Low lvl place to farm silver) instead of a guide to low-mid levels for silver

No i was putting values to items based on list price, of course if you were to include tax on gems/leathers then the amount would be a little less, however i am too lazy to calculate that as this was just meant to be a quickish test.

i will however add a note to remember about tax price in the post, thanks~

Decided to go to Solitary Cells that are getting AFK necros now, got 105699 raw silver in 10 minutes and 12 lvl 3 gems (2 were stolen from the AFK necros) with active farming. Each are around 10k I think so, 220.000 silver gained in total. If necros can gain at least half of what I got there… I really fear for the Market, the amount of gems droped there is really good.

Used a Reiter with only a +11 Manamana and Chrisius Shooter.

I will test more places later.

Went to Solitary and I was only getting 60-70k in about 10 minutes. Were you finding a lot of special mobs or something?

The mob density didn’t seem to make it worth it for me seeing that it is much longer than Workshop and less elites seemed to spawn…but when they did they were all in the same room two feet from each other.

Trying to find better farming spots than Workshop/Cell too, and hunting grounds just suck for exp/gold in my experience.

Around the midde in the “Solitary Cell”, was full of mobs there with an Elite. I killed 2 elites in that session by the way.

In the last map of that dungeon, Investigation room, the archers drop gems pretty often too but the raw silver is bad and the constant poisoning is a problem.

With the current dpk system i really think field farming is very unrewarding. The money you get from field mobs is like a joke compared to the amount of time you have to invest to get real silver. My advise for low level players that want money would be make alts as much as you can do and sell all the shards/items you obtain. Also farm dun 140/170.

We have to consider that you’re also Level 330, this is not low-mid results that are achieveable. It’s also 10mins of farming, but not 10mins of selling. This is a big deal. And if this is used by anyone that does have a token, that’s tax on everything apart from the 102k. We’d have to get level ranges with their farming times/experiences for this to be more tailored towards everyone. If anything this is a high level farming guide. 330 is not low-mid.

So for a 330 character, 275k is very possible. Although you’d be better off running Saalus and selling those shards for more profit and then just continue the next day. Doesn’t require an ounce of effort you put in here either  Also would sell faster as well.

you have many options for silver grind

-grind mobs in high density area
-soloing crystal mines
-doing saalus
-grinding DPK items
-soloing 140-170 dungeons

Yup, DP2 is still a great farming spot. Thanks for confirming this.

this was meant to be a test to show silver gain for people who have already Done their salaus/duns/uphill

probably more to the benefit of people who have less than 2 or 3 characters and do not want to make more.

also yes I do realize about the market tax and selling issue which is why I split the costs. you could essentially just take the pure silver value amount as final amount too.

in the future I might do a more thorough test of timerys/solitary cells etc and try to list things better.
again this is more for people who have either done all their dailies and want to grind extra silver.
I’ll probably change the title to a easier format too
