Camping the final spirit in Klei for me to do my Miko quest. Unfortunately I’ve spent 10 hours camping it and it hasn’t shown up – or, I have missed it between bathroom breaks.
I would like to think the missing it is more likely.
Can anyone tell me their experience on the matter?
How long does it last from whence it shows up?
When I first tried I joined a party where each person camped one of the channels. There was one maintenance in that day, I think we waited around 2-3 hours and it didn’t show up. I recommend doing this if you can gather people.
Next day a guildie was camping it and it spawned in less than an hour (I’m not sure, I think it was around ~20 mins ish) and the person called me, I warped and got there in time. Lucky day.
Also, if your close friends are willing to help you they can camp the spirits with you without even having a cleric. They just need to finish Manahas quest line, get the Gohei and the person will be able to see the spirits too. I didn’t test but as with all other hidden class quests, for showing the NPC, anyone can complete.
This is really good advice. I’ll have to ask my friends. I think the most important part is the last portion, because my wife camped with me for 4 hours – maybe long, she was in c4 and I in c2. She didn’t have Manahas questline finished, so I think we lost it when she was there.
I wasn’t aware of that bit of info.

Funny story: some friends and myself were camping for the spirit at different channels in Klaip. We didn’t know then that only toons who have the Powerless Gohei can see the spirit, so we thought we were doing it right.
After about nearly an hour of chatting, my friend uttered something which I understood to be: “come here now!” So I quickly shifted channels, and lo and behold: the spirit was there. My friend later told me that he was referring to something else and not the spirit, because he apparently couldn’t see it.
Anyway, if you don’t have a pal who can see the spirit, it might be a good idea to shift channels every 5 mins or so. Also, I heard that the spirit only appears in populated channels (so likely between channels 1 & 2). Hope this helps!
You can also count on your luck and just try from time to time. I was very luck finding it fast.
Ironically enough after my wife got the Powerless Gohei due to @LunarRabbit and his explanation, merely 2 hours of camping it, it spawned for her. She also did Manaha’s (which took me 4 hours) and saw a spirit IMMEDIATELY after obtaining her Powerless Gohei.
It was extremely hilarious.
She’s the lucky one but I’m shafted by RNG at every step of the way.
Took me 10 minutes. I changed channel and checked the gate area at the Southern part of the map and there it was.
Manahas on the other hand took me 5 hours.
12 hours here, with channel surfing, possible that i missed it out once, as someone was camping channel 3 for approx. 30 minutes and disappeared.
Still waiting for it to spawn.

when RNG plays me a prank, i waietd for 13 hours nothing, go to sleep, wake up, and its there.
I went to sleep and someone else saw it spawn 20 minutes after. I’d told the guy I was in a party with to message me but I was already awake over 36 hours.
