Melee with Magic! (Bring your knowledge about what can be done!)

Helo guys! As i always played auto-cast (when they were released on RO) and i really like the concept of wacking people with a magic class that can heal or cast spells i have a question for you all:

What would be the options in the cleric class/mage classes? It can be done in this game?

There’s option to do malee attack with staff but don’t try whack staff with mage class.
Damage is really terrible.
