Team Level is a feature IMC obviously tried to implement based on what one of their old alt-heavy MMO had, Granado Espada and the Family Level bonus.
Sadly, at the moment, you can tell the current Team Level bonus is just a lazy placeholder. For a game that is so heavily focused on having you play a ton of characters, the amount of support on that feature is minimal so people just stick to a few meta char and don’t really make new chars because it’s a waste of time.
For such an alt-heavy game, isn’t it time ToS gets some actual alt bonuses?
And no, I’m not talking about GE level of bonuses where you get raw stats. I’m talking about alt-leveling bonuses beside just flat EXP bonuses. There is more to just EXP when making an alt. There’s also the need to hunt for new gears, get more silver, train attb and so on.
Here are some bonuses that could have been there.
Extra Silver drop (gate it somewhere after level 20 something so bots don’t benefit much from it since it’s locked away from them unless they purposefully make 4 chaplain bots on the same account.)
Reduced Attb leveling Cost
Reduced Statue Warp Cost
Reduced Class-Store Tax
Additional Chance for EXP card drop from monsters
Extra Class Exp kill gain (seperated bonus from the overall exp)
Bonuses that make you want to keep older char around so you will have better time leveling a new one and actually try something else without hurting the overall stat war/pvp contents.
“But then it will be so P2W since you have to TP to buy char slot for extra team level!”
Considering that you still need to play to benefit and that it doesn’t grant any real advantage when dealing with other players, not really.
One thing to mention though. Why doesn’t ToS have some kind of Lobby-Slot-Extension card in the TP store that can be traded and sold to other players and used on an NPC?
Add that item in along with other items like Personal/Team Storage Slot card so the game TP store can also benefit from people trying to convert TP-to-Silver instead of just selling Token.
